Dr. Harlan Robert Ribnik, MD

I have seen doctor Ribnik for almost nine years. He has done everything in his power to help me with my debilitating progressing pain disease. He has gone out of his way to try and get workers comp on board with my treatment. He has spent countless hours trying to help me. Everytime I see him I feel like I am the most important person in his day. Hes very passionate about his work, and I'm not sure I'd be able to live without his care. His staff for the most part are very friendly, and the ones that aren't dont last very long.

Tough to recommend as an FAA AME. I'm not new to FAA medicals and it was very clear Dr Ribnik was following very out dated guidance in issuing medicals (making up his own rules), making the process unnecessarily difficult/impossible. If you are looking to be unnecessarily scrutinized and want to put your next medical at risk this is the place to come.

I've been a patient of Dr. Ribnik for 18 years, having been referred to him after almost 4 years of unsuccessful treatment for chronic and debilitating pain from being rear-ended. I'd been to neurologists, physiatrists (aka physical medicine doctors), massage therapists, years of physical therapy, had acupuncture, and had even been to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Until Dr. Ribnik treated me I had little relief. Through medication, injections, and other procedures, he has really helped me. He is always open to suggestion, never rushes an appointment, and really cares for what my day-to-day quality of life is.

I have seen Dr. Ribnik for multiple surgical interventions regarding chronic pain. The results have been life-changing. Dr. Ribnik is dedicated to long-term solutions for chronic pain. He tries to find solutions that work on an individual basis, rather than just handing out pain meds like Chicklets. I appreciate his focus on me as an individual.

I saw Dr. Ribnik or severe chronic arthritis pain. I expected a doctor who treats people with chronic pain to be more compassionate. He was very cold as was his office staff. I saw his assistant for follow up visits and he did seem to be more understanding. They took me off Dilaudid suddenly and I suffered very very severe withdrawals. The nurse just told me to call 911 if I thought of harming myself or others (I babysit my grandchildren). Thanks a lot! Very comforting! Looking back I realize I should have insisted they gradually wean me off the medication. Instead I suffered cold turkey for 7 days. I would never never recommend this clinic to anyone!

I like Dr. Ribneck very much. If you are a drug seeker, don't even give this clinic a second thought. Your pills will be counted upon every visit and the clinic does random UA's. It's vital that you follow the rules to a T, or you will be dismissed. It's sad, but necessary that they keep such a close watch, since there is such a high rate of prescription abuse going on these days. Dr. Ribneck is very caring and wants the best for his patients. I wish I would have gone to this clinic a long time ago.
