Dr. Harold Melville Antwine III, MD

My right knee had to be replaced and much to my regret I let Dr Antwine perform the procedure. He put my new knee in with my foot turned a good one eighth turn to the right which throws off my gate when I walk and that in turn displaces my hip and causes great pain in my lower back. Not only that but he also pinched my sciatic nerve in the back of my knee and now I have drop foot due to nerve damage, and can’t feel my leg from the knees down. When I asked him about why I was having so many problems with my leg he said the surgery was a great success and he had absolutely nothing to do with the nerve damage. I have gone to another Doctor to find out what is going on with my new knee to be told the only way to repair the knee is to remove it and put it back correctly and the nerve damage is permanent. I truly recommend finding any other doctor to operate on you. I wouldn’t have Dr Antwine operate on my dog.

Dr. Antwine showed me the pictures of my knee operation and explained what he did and why. This was very helpful in understanding the condition of my knee. I am very pleased with the surgery and the quick recovery I have experienced. All of the nurses and staff are congenial and professional and Dr. Antwine is the BEST! I feel secure about any future bone and joint problems, because I know there is an organization I can trust to give the best treatment needed. Thank you Dr. Antwine and West TN Bone and Joint!

I’d recommend this doctor. He’s seems to really care about his patients. I saw him back in 2018 and he remembered me.

Very unprofessional, surgery didn't do anything for me I doubt he done much during surgery but pocket money. Refused to see me further even after I complained of still having pain and weakness and put me back to work in pain. Lied about my full recovery to workmans comp. Pathetic doctor.

Dr Antwine did one surgery on my knee and when I came out of it much worse than before, he did another. He didn’t visit me after surgery or give us any instructions on aftercare. When I started having more problems, he released me from his care. I am now on the hunt for another doctor since he didn’t care about the pain i was in.

Worst experience ever. Brought my x-rays from a walk-in clinic where I was told I had significant arthritis and ridging(bone spurs). I don't think Dr. Antwine even looked at the xrays. He told me to come back in 6 months, and passively threw me out of his office! I went to an amazing doctor in Union City who said, after looking at a single xray, I had a deformity and a hip replacement was my only option. So glad I found a competent doctor to resolve my hip problems!
