Dr. Hermes Segundo Velasquez, MD

Dr. Velasquez is fantastic! Unfortunately, his nursing staff isn't. Sending a RX fax is too much work for them. I was told, in a harsh tone, that in the future I'd have to do it myself. Isn't that their job?

Dr. Valasquez, is one of the Best Doctors you’d be fortunate to have. This is my second experience with Breast Cancer. I was diagnosed with Malignant Pleural Effusion, Dr. Valasquez was appointed to care for me. I had a panic attack because of the procedure. Dr. Valasquez has the kindest -bedside manner in my 42 years of having doctors was fortunate to encounter. He understood what I was experiencing he took his time, patience, and love when he explained to me what was going to take place. I’m one of the most fortunate person to have him as my Pulmonary Doctor. I thank Jehovah for having him as my Doctor.

I came into contact with Dr. Velasquez after being admitted to the hospital following a breathing emergency. It turned out that I had contracted pneumonia, which can be very serious when combined with emphysema. He was very attentive during my short hospital stay, and insured that I received the best care. Subsequently, I have visited him regularly and find him to be particularly knowledgeable regarding the treatment of emphysema and up to speed on the newest and very best drugs available to treat this disease. He is also friendly, affable and willing to help.

When you call the office you have no choice but to leave a message. It's not possible to talk to anybody directly. Then when you do leave a message they don't call you back. I left 3 messages about an upcoming appointment tent and never got a call back. Needless to say, I never kept my appointment. I don't need to deal with a physician that runs their office that way. The buck stops on his desk even if he doesnt know it is happening. There are other doctors that still remember what the patient/doctor relationship used to be.

Dr. Velasquez has been following me for a new Lung Nodule (I am post Lung Cancer) and also Pulmonary Cartilage Edema. He is a very thorough Doctor both in treatment and diagnostics. Very satisfied and trust his care.

He was absolutely rude and Demeaning. And I'm still paying for services I never received. He charged my insurance company 600 dollars to review results. Funny he never reviewed them with me this guy is a joke still paying a bill when I was never diagnosed.
