Dr. Hermogenes Pious Battad, MD

My mother was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2007. We met with Dr. Battad to receive the confirmatory diagnosis and options for treatment. My mom was an extremely sharp, active, healthy and young 81 year old at the time, and Dr. Battad told her that she needed to decide if she even wanted to fight the cancer since she was 81. I told him that he had just committed age discrimination, and I suggested he walk out of our room, speak to her PCP about her quality of life, and reconsider the statement he made. He left the room reluctantly, and when he returned, proceeded to try to apologize to me. I told him that she was the person who needed to be addressed. Overall, I feel my mother received less than adequate care needed for her treatment through Sumner Regional, simply because of her age, and it began with Dr. Battad.

I had my husband to go see him because he was my grandfathers doctor when my grandfather was living. I thought he would be good and take good care of my husband. I was wrong. To start with his nurse is one of the rudes person I have every meet. The doctor has a horrible bedside manner and does not take the time with the patient to figure out what is wrong with them. Last time my husband went for his check up the doctor pulled out his old test which was like six months old and went over that again with my husband instead of doing a new test on him like he was suppose too. My husband is only thirty one years old and is getting worst health wise instead of getting better and his doctor is not taking time to help him and figure out what is wrong with him. I do not recommend him at all.

has no business doctoring on anyone i wouldnt trust him at all.very very rude he needs to go back where he came from.
