Dr. Howard Avery Schneider, MD

I do not recommend this "Rheumatologist" at all! After a barrage of blood tests (19 vials) and a Gallium scan (which I am told is his standard procedure), Dr. Schneider completely MIS-DIAGNOSED me with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have zero joint pain and there was no evidence of R.A. in either my blood work or the Gallium scan. He prescribed 6 weeks of steroids and another harsh medication (Plaquenil), that could potentially harm my eyesight and even cause blindness! I consulted with my primary care provider, and he also strongly disagreed with Dr. Schneider's diagnosis. He sent me for a second opinion to a reputable Rheumatologist, who conducted the correct blood tests, all of which came back negative for R.A. I am so thankful I was not gullible enough to trust Dr. Schneider and take the harmful drugs he prescribed for a condition I did not even have! In addition to the above, the walls of this doctor's little back room office are lined with photos of the Mafia - weird! I found him… very odd and felt most uncomfortable in his presence.

I've been seeing Dr Schneider for about 4 years. He has helped me so much. If anyone can get to the bottom of your pain he can. I call him a "Bulldog." The people that work in his office are all so nice. I highly recommend him.

He had me take numerous tests and never seemed concerned about the costs. The tests were inconclusive, do he tried done things. Those made me worse.

Dr has help me so much it's hard to rate !! he is a great listener

I have found Dr. Schneider to be a wonderful, kind, caring and compassionate doctor. I trust his care of me and his staff are also wonderful. I am lucky to have such a great doctor. He takes time to answer my questions and always makes sure I understand everything. I also find his sense of humor very refreshing.

The individuals on here that wrote about a dentist abusing children need to have their heads examined....They are writing about the WRONG DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!! Dr. Howard Schneider is NOT a dentist...He is a caring internist in Cheyenne Wyoming who does not even treat children.. What a horrible thing to come onto a wrong doctors review page and then write such despicable things..Why not take the time and find the correct doctor before posting such insulting posts?????

My son had suggested getting specific labs required to get a proper dx of Lyme disease. Dr Schneider did not deem these labs necessary which delayed his dx and care for the devastating disease of Lyme. After many tests and procedures, and after moving on from this dr and seeing other doctors, my son finally was tested positive for Lyme. This could have been done during his first appt. so after mos of illness, we move forward with Lyme disease. Doctors, please LISTEN to your patients.

Dr. Schneider is an outstanding doctor - he does not let anything get by him and takes an interest in your total health. He has time for you to explain your symptoms and then goes to work....
