Dr. Ian Kay Brimhall, DO

Excellent experience, if you dare to call a TKR. Dr. Brimhall made it a good experience. His expertise and patient care is superior. I had a previous TKR different surgeon different facility. Hands down I recommend Dr. Brimhall. He rocks! he takes his time, explains and listens. His office staff went out of their way to accommodate me to see Dr. Brimhall and were super friendly. I have read other reviews not so favorable, I suppose a curmudgeon will always be a complainer. Thank you Dr. Brimhall and his staff. In addition Dr. Brimhall set me up with White Mountain Pyhisical Therapy Derek Flake, the combination of Dr. Brimhalls surgical performance and the targeted physical therapy by Derek Flake made the recovery a breeze!

Awful experience

Do NOT trust Ian Brinhall! All he cares about is doing as many surgeries as possible. He uses scare tactics then turns up the charm. He has left many of his patients disabled! ?? He is awful.

I'm so sorry that I put my trust in this Dr. He has left me disabled. Brimhall stated if I don't have the surgery I will be in a wheelchair. I agreed to have the surgery. He said he could do my reconstructive surgery. He used me as his Ginny pig. Later I find out he has never done foot reconstructive surgery. All he cares about is doing as many surgeries as possible. Does not care how you feel or what you have to say. He knows how to put on the charm though. He has diminished my life significantly. If you need to have surgery done, I strongly suggest going to a different Doctor. He always said I was fine even though I told him how I felt. I was walking around for a year and a half with a cracked plate in my foot. Because he told me everything was good. I could go on and on. This Dr. is not to be trusted.

I waited 2 1/2 hrs just to be roomed, way to long. By the time I left it was over 3 hrs

Wait for an appt for over a month. Finally, go to appt. Physician's Assistant sits down for two minutes, asks vague questions, types into her cell phone, her face down, zero contact. Did I mention I was put in the casting room, tall dentist-like chair (awkward,uncomfortable). Difficult when you walk with forearm crutches. A blonde wearing scrubs walks in and out several times, digs through drawers, door was left open from the beginning of the appt, never closed for privacy. I can see a patient across the hall, I can hear every word he and the "Dr" are discussing about his health. Dr Brimhall rushes in, staring down at his cell phone. Asks when my body part started hurting, still looking at his cell. Has me move said body part. Turns his back to me, takes a phone call, non medical in nature. His P.A. is on her phone as well. Person in scrubs walks in and out several times, people moving through hallway(loud voices) entire time. Chaos! Next thing I know everyone clears out, been there… in the cast room for maybe four minutes. I had to ask someone in the hall "Do I check out or just leave?" Sent to a check out desk, patients lined up, here comes Dr Brimhall, holding his cell to his mouth on speaker phone, dictating a patient's report----in front of everyone in line!!!!!! HIPAA VIOLATION BIG TIME!! I worked in the medical field professionally for over twenty years - this place needs an office manager and a ton of structure. Will not be back, would rather drive to the valley.
