The 1st surgery Cavin did on me was an appendix removal and according to my new surgeon and my lawyer, he messed that up 1st without telling me and I kept having horrible horrible pain so then I needed a partial colonectomy and that’s when Cavin nicked me and he knew he did and he did nothing till 5 days later when it was almost too late cause I was in septic shock and my body was eating itself. I was in the hospital for almost 2 months at st marks and they were the worst too. It was all their mistakes and Cavin even said it took him a month to do any surgery again because he knows he messed up. Yes he has great bedside manner but don’t let that fool you cause to me he is Dr. death . They keep having my review removed but I have every right to let everyone know how he ruined my body and my life and I can’t even enjoy the holidays because I’m dealing with post sepsis issues like always and I can’t even have one day to feel like a normal woman. He’s taken everything from me ! And still… no apology! No accountability!!!! I’ll never stop being angry and hurt by him and st mark’s hospital!

I would not recommend him to do a Pilonidal cyst removal. He didn’t get all the canals of the cyst removed. The incision kept opening up and they told me it would heal on its own. After 14 weeks my son had to come home from his mission to have the surgery redone with a different surgeon.

I highly recommend Dr. Cavin. When I was diagnosed with cancer, I was referred to Dr. Cavin. He explained my options and listened to my concerns and gave me plenty of time to ask questions. The surgery went very well and I am very happy with the outcome.
