Dr. Irene C. Mavrakakis, MD

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Irene Mavrakakis. She is truly an exceptional physician. What stood out to me most was that she actually LISTENED. She took the time to hear everything I had been experiencing, asked questions, and made me feel as though my pain and concerns genuinely mattered. I never felt rushed, dismissed, or like I was simply another patient on the schedule. Dr. Mavrakakis was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, compassionate, and straightforward. She looked at the bigger picture of what I have been dealing with and gave me confidence that we are going to work toward finding the source of my pain and the best treatment plan moving forward. When you have been living with significant pain, finding a doctor who listens to you, believes what you are telling them, and is willing to investigate what is actually happening means more than words can express. I left my appointment feeling heard, respected, and hopeful. Her professionalism is outstanding, but… just as important is the way she treats you as a human being. That combination is very difficult to find. I would recommend Dr. Mavrakakis without hesitation to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and thorough pain management physician. She deserves every one of these five stars and more

Thorough, caring, attentive, works with you on solutions, doesn’t quit, phenomenal doctor!!! If you can get in she’s worth the wait. One of the best physicians in the state Delaware and I’ve seen many of varying kinds. She gets things done!

Dr. M is extremely organized, has a great memory, and a wonderful bedside manner. In addition, she is no-nonsense and pays attention to what you're saying. She has an unbelievable amount of experience and empathy for your specific needs. I'm extremely pleased that I moved from my previous physician, and that she is now treating my lower lumbar stenosis.
