Dr. Mahmoudi has a god complex and is perhaps the rudest, most egotistical doctor I've ever encountered (and I've encountered quite a few in the Yuba-Sutter area.) I was referred to him to investigate my migraine headaches and a variety of other symptoms that I have been experiencing for the last 6 months. I didn't get called back until about 40 minutes past my appointment time, and right from the get-go he was completely dismissive and spoke down to me. Without knowing me or my medical history, he refused to listen to my concerns or symptoms, claiming that when people come in with a list of symptoms (which I had written down so I could remember to cover everything) they are "obsessed with finding something wrong when there is nothing wrong." He spent a good chunk of time prattling off his credentials (which aren't that impressive) and claiming he has treated almost everyone in the Yuba-Sutter area...which I know very well is not true. He's been practicing neurological medicine since… 1968...well perhaps it's time he retire, because he is obviously not educated on modern medicine! He can't even keep track of his own train of thoughts and kept interrupting me. Rather than investigate my migraine headaches, he just rambled off generic information about migraines that I already know -- I have been dealing with these since I was 2 years old. I'm not an idiot. He refused to even discuss any of my other symptoms even though my primary doctor sent me to him to rule out neurological diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis. I cant get a diagnosis unless they rule out (or god willing, confirm) these serious diseases, which my symptoms mimic. His knowledge of MS is disturbingly outdated, and he acted like testing for it is too much of a hassle for him to bother. He kept demanding to know if I had a mood disorder and suggested all kinds of psychological disorders were the cause for my symptoms, which he is not qualified to diagnose. At one point he even claimed I had chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia, even though I've had no such diagnosis! Those things cannot be diagnosed without ruling other conditions out first. At the end of my appointment, this man actually told me to "forget your body pain" and to "get out of my office, I have other patients." I have never been treated so disrespectfully by a doctor in my life. He made me feel like I was not a human being worthy of receiving healthcare. I will never set foot in his office again. His office staff are nice, but he is just awful. The examination rooms are pretty disturbing as well, and his equipment looks old and rusty. I would never recommend him to anyone. If you ever get referred to him, save your time (and sanity) and request to go somewhere else.

Horrible Dr. I was just told by another Dr. that they have heard many complaints of this Dr. Mahmoudi being extremely rude and yelling at patients. He did the same thing to me and refused to see me when I have seizures.

Dr Mahmoudi is a wonderful neurologist. He promptly got me in to see him. The staff is wonderful. As soon as I saw him the first time he ordered my mri, eeg and blood work. He listens to everything I have to say. Explains everything to me not only verbally but visually and gave me printed facts about what I have. I absolutely love seeing him.
