Dr. James Anthony Ware JR., MD

this doctor is very unreliable. does not return phone messages and does not visit patients if you are hospitalized. even the hospitalist cannot get him to return phone calls. his hamilton office is not well maintained. very unkempt also very antiquated computer system. in my opinion I would not recommend this neurologist

Went in for neuropathy, in extreme pain. He gave a med(wasn’t helpful) and told me to get an MRI, staff said they had to wait for him to fill out the paper and would call me in 10 minutes, did not receive a call, so I called back the next day, no answer, no call back. Left voicemail, no callback. Went to the office again, I was assured I’d receive a phone call in 10 minutes, I was lied to. No call. Today I called Yet again, and had to raise my voice to get my pint across, I was told that the script was faxed to the hospital and I just had to call and set up appointment, I called they received no fax, called back an hour later still no fax indicating I had been lied to again. I would not reccomend this place to my worst enemy!

Absolutely a terrific doctor. A thoughtful, caring and intelligent person. He listens carefully and is highly knowledgeble.

Waited over two and half hours before even seeing the Dr. no one came out to say he was running behind or say they were sorry for the wait. After waiting our appt. we seen the Dr for about 15 min. all he did was push on his legs, tell him to put his arms out and pushed on his head. The only equipment in the room was a broken weighing scale, examine table, and a shelve with a box of tissues. Never used a otoscope to check his pupils or anything wasn't one in the room. He then pushed back on his stool and asked " So what do you want from me" would never go back to this office again

He is a good Dr however the office staff is ignorant, does not return phone calls for weeks even when they tell you to call them to schedule an appt. The wait time always exceeds 2 hours. There is no need for an office to be run like this just to see a Dr. I have left this practice for another.

I was a patient of Dr Ware''s for several years, before moving overseas. I wish I had a doctor like Dr Ware over here. Not only is Dr Ware courteous be he is also thorough. If he doesn't know what is happening, he will find out through his resources, what might be causing this or that. I truly miss him.

It takes 4-6 weeks to get an appt. with Dr. Ware. I waited 1.5 hrs. to see Dr. Ware. He did help me with my epilepsy issues, but is obviously overworked, since he yawned through my appt. His office staff is a reflection of the doctor, rude, incompetent, and refuses to help get my records from previous neurologists requested by Dr. Ware. I spoke to his office staff twice with questions on follow-up issues (bloodwork results requested by Dr. Ware, annual EEG request, I cannot imagine if I needed my refills on my seizure meds). Office staff is incompetent, rude and cold witches! Do not go here! I am changing neurologists quickly because of my treatment by his office staff..

While Dr. Ware has a kind and soft demeanor his treatment for diagnosing a head injury that resulted in severe vertigo and brain swelling left much to be desired. He was not agressive in treatment and what's worse is the poor quality and negligent attitudes of his office staff. Any phone call or question is treated as though they are annoyed to answer the phone. Messages are lost and never passed along. I waited 3 weeks to get a message to the doctor that my brain swelling reached an unsafe level and the office staff treated me as though it was my fault the message didn't reach him. I have never been a squeaky wheel and I am not a high maintenance person or patient, but this office does not deserve to provide medical care. I cannot say enough about how dissatisfied and disgusted I am with my care from Dr. Ware's office.

IV been a pataint of DR Wares for over 15 years. Since he left his own practice & now works for Capital Health his attitude has changed. I always knew DR Ware to be a very casual guy who use to walk into the exam room warring just a simple white dress shirt & spending whatever/how much time it took with you! Now he walks in exam room warring a three piece suit! I miss the DR Ware who has helped me for 15 years...

Wonderful doctor! His tardiness can be attributed to his being thorough and patient with his patient's concerns. His staff is just horrible. I needed follow up care with a visiting nurse that his staff was to have arranged. Because they didn't, I had to be hospitalized for a week.My latest episode was having been put on hold for 38 minutes, growing frustrated, hanging up, calling back, only to be told, angrily, that the office was closed. I love the doctor, but his staff is the pits.
