My mother is a patient of Dr. Abshire and completed the form to obtain a California free phone due to her medical condition. I contacted his office and they informed me that I could bring the form in to get it signed and I did. Upon my arrival in the office, they said he’s seeing patients and they would pass it to him. They stated that it would probably have to wait until the next day, but would call me when it was signed. They also agreed to get it signed and fax it into the state toll-free number. 24 hours later, I called the office and had to repeat her personal data several times and they still wouldn’t answer my question about the form. From the first day, I called them about signing this form they were difficult to work with. I wasn’t asking for anything, but to get my extremely handicapped mother the phone that see needs and they didn’t seem care. I’m shocked and upset that my mother’s need to communicate with critical services, her family and others isn’t important to this provider.
