Dr. James Claude Beggs, MD

Today I saw Dr. Beggs for the first time today 4.4.24 and I had a wonderful experience! Him and the staff were very nice and helpful! He’s removing a growth from my mouth in a few weeks and I feel very relieved!

Everyone there is extremely friendly and doctor Beggs is pleasant and professional.

My son went through an hour long surgery, Dr Beggs leaves the center not to be found. When he finally arrives back to the surgery center he snapped at the staff that had been trying to reach him. When I asked when my son could resume his athletics he said “I don’t know, whenever he feels like it.” Then “Did I answer all of your questions?” He was inconsiderate and didn’t seem to care. As well, he arrived for surgery unprepared, thankfully we had the scans with us. I won’t comment on his ability as a surgeon, however, with this blatant disregard for the patients he serves it is going to catch up to him. I definitely do not recommend!

Please do not let Dr. Beggs operate on you, go else where. I send him blessings and pray he never attempts a difficult operation again. I hope I have said enough.

The office was dirty and Dr. Beggs had dirty finger nails. Horrible experience!

I object to Gulf Coast Plastics & ENT Center. I will not see any doctor affiliated with this organization. Tanya the office manager is a real piece of work. I had a hard time finding out information about my medical condition (Glad It Was Not Serious) I was finally able to get a copy of my test results and a few other things regarding my visit. I keep my own medical files because of people like this (Hard To Believe She Is Employed) they made me do a lot of work to finally get my records. Some service, really quite horrid. Bay County does have some good medical support staff at various other doctors offices but not this one. Dr. Beggs is average and I am glad I went somewhere else after this experience.

Dr. Beggs is the most thorough, caring physician we have ever had. He takes the time needed to assess the problem and recommend the best course of action. He follows up to see if the patient is responding well. We highly recommend him!

This the worst Dr I have ever met and hope to never see again.His bed side manner is terrible to say the least,inconsiderate,and uncompassionate would be a understatement for this Dr. I was hit by a drunk driver a week before Christmas and underwent surgery in the E.R. and released 4 days later with a prescription for liquid loratab and Dalaudid.I wasn't given any antibiotics or told how to take care of my badly injured jaw.I had broke my jaw bone in 5 places.My 1st appointment was a 4 days after Christmas.When I seen Dr Beggs he said I needed to immediately be readmitted into the hospital because I has severe infections and dead bone that had to be removed.So I got readmitted and went directly into surgery the following morning and had debridement surgery every 3 days for 12 days.At which point he came into my room and told me he was gonna cut along my chest to remove a long piece of muscle tissue to attach it to my jaw.And that there would be a long scar running the distance of my… jaw line.And 6 weeks later he would cut into my leg to remove bone to later insert into my jaw.When I asked him if there was any other way he could do it,he replied that he knew what he was doing and if I didn't like it I should go to Gainesville or Birmingham.After looking up my medical my injury and similar ones,I found that there were several methods of fixing my jaw.So the next morning when he came in to see me at 5:15am I asked him if there were any other alternatives and he said no,then I asked him if I could think about it.He told me,"you know what I think you'll be better if I don't do your surgery,so you'll have to go somewhere else." This whole time since I were admitted I have had a tube in my throat and a hose running into my stomach.So I spoke with the Hospital social worker about my concerns and she looked at my records and found that Dr Beggs wrote in his report that I just didn't want my surgery taken place at this hospital,and that's why he requested a hospital transfer.So my Social worker investigated and he told her that my expectations were to high and that he felt I'd be better off somewhere else.keep in mind I'm in pain constantly due to my stomach tube and neck tube,and I was still willing to let him do it.But thanks to the awesome staff at Bay Medical,they helped me a whole lot.the nurse staff are the salt of the earth and I truly appreciate them.Durring the 3 almost 4 weeks I was in Dr Beggs care I might have seen him a total of 15 minutes.I think he is a terrible Dr and shouldn't be allowed to practice medicine.

I would trust him to care for my entire family if they needed his expertise. Dr. Beggs truly has a caring heart besides his wealth of expertise!
