Dr. James Lawrence Gates, MD

Had surgery with Dr Gates and seen for a couple of years. Good at explaining things and noticing overall health. Saved me from life threatening situations twice.

I have used Dr Gates for 29 years, He diagnosed my endometriosis immediately after years of problems. He delivered my child,gave wonderful care to myself and a super great listening ear for a new mom. Wonderful care, great staff and nurses. Will not see another Dr.

I would recommend Dr Gates to anyone!!! He's AMAZING!!!

Dr. Gates is an amazing doctor!! I would not go anywhere else. He and his nurse Sandy are the friendliest people. He really cares about you and what you have to say. He sits and visits with you and ask you all about your health and any problems you may be having. They really answer ALL of your questions and put you at ease. THe office is extremely up to date and always spotless. I recommend Dr. Gates to all of my family and friends.

Dr. Gates has been my Dr. since I moved back to La in 2007. I love that I rarely have to wait longer than 15-20 minutes in the waiting room. To be fair on "accuracy of diagnosis" I don't really know. I haven't had many problems but I couldn't take the stars back and it seemed unfair to give him a poor rating. I am currently pregnant for the 1st time. My visits with him are typically very brief. He does all the tests and checking but I haven't had any complications so there really isn't much to discuss. He usually seems busy but to his credit he ALWAYS asks if I have any questions, so it would be my fault if I didn't feel like he was spending enough time with me.Don't know how delivery will go but from what I've heard about other Dr.s in this area I feel as good and in many cases better about going into it with Dr. Gates than many of the other Dr.s
