Dr. James David Popkin, MD

My father who passed away under his care actually liked him....until the end. He said he should have chosen a different doctor He was however extremely rude to myself and my father when we went to an appointment in the last month of my father's life. My father had lost 50 lbs and the Dr told him he was healthy. No appointments enforced. No proper action taken and my father died within a month from an aggressive brain tumor ( he sent him to an eye Dr twice) I have nothing nice to say. He should probably retire because patients deserve better care.

I was assigned a new PCP Dr Popkin's when another doctor I saw at the practice left. I went through a very traumatic experience while vacationing in a foreign country. After experiencing a very difficult situation this doctor has been so kind, compassionate and understanding to my medical needs. If I need anything he is always available to assist. He has been a great asset in assisting me on my road to recovery.

Dr Popkins has been my primary care doctors for years he is solely responsible for getting my diabetic situation under control. He is straight forward no nonsense Doctor that took the time to care about getting me healthy. His office staff is unmatched and his professionalism is outstanding. I wish I had found him sooner great man great Doctor I owe him dearly

I've been seeing Dr. Popkin for a decade or so. I have not been an easy patient. (That's putting it gently :/ ) He has a balance of being very straightforward and being compassionate. Inquisitive. He talks to you like a person. He doesn't have to take patients, either. And he still takes me. If you're lucky: he'll take you, too.

friendly, down to earth, makes you feel very comfortable, caring, has time to answer any questions you may have. no long waits for appts or making one. all staff members are great.
