Dr. James Nicholas Priola, DO

Office staff is the WORST!! Rude and condescending. Wait times are over an hour. Doctor changes meds with no explanation and the nurses are ignorant.

Best doctor I’ve ever seen. Super nice and caring for everyone that goes into his office.

Dr James Priola is the best ever he is only Doc that I have ever been to that takes the time he needs to care for you. He is truly family to me I had a very serious illness that nearly took my life and if Dr Priola was not my doctor I am not sure I would of pulled through. His attention to detail and care for his patience is genuine and goes unmatched. You truly are the best Doc!!

This was only my 2nd appt ever with Dr. Priola (scheduled for a physical). First appt was a physical last year. I actually really liked Dr. Priola after meeting him last year. Unfortunately, this year I was left in the waiting room for over 45 minutes with no update from his staff (that is unprofessional and cannot be tolerated). I understand Dr.'s run behind. However, a patient's time is valuable as well (I have obligations - child pickup, work, etc). All I ask is for the staff to communicate and be considerate of patient's time. If they would have called me at home I could have rescheduled. If someone would have at least addressed me sitting in the waiting room or given me an update of the timeline so I could have made other accommodations for my child to get picked up that would have been the right thing to do. They didn't say anything to me at all except to ask me for my insurance card when I walked in. After close to an hour with no communication, I walked up to the… window and said I have to leave and would reschedule myself if I decided to come back. I communicated my disappointment and got absolutely no apology or explanation. It was honestly like they didn't even care. Since the cancellation, I have not received a phone call or any form of follow-up from this office. The irony here is that some offices charge patients for being late or not cancelling an appt yet there are no patient incentives at all if the roles are reversed. This experience is really unfortunate. I spent quite a bit of time searching for a PCP and was hoping that Dr. Priola would be someone who could treat me for years to come. I had heard very good things about him and his form of patient care. Unfortunately, I will not get the opportunity to find out as I will not be going back based on the actions (or lack thereof) from his staff.

A VERY compassionate Dr who listens carefully to every word said to him. He is an excellent Dr to take his patient into their golden years. He is 55 I am 54. He has DX a few deadly illnesses in me such as a form of leukemia, and sent me to a Dr he would see if he had this illness. I am totally disabled but he gives me strength to keep fighting for every day I have on this beautiful Earth. If you value your life I strongly recommend seeing this Dr.

Dr. Priola is the most down-to-earth doctor you will ever meet. He is mild-mannered and is willing to listen to your issues, concerns, etc...even if it involves his treatment options. This guy is a true gem!

Dr Priola will see me before his office opens due to my disability, he could make me wait but , he knows how much pain that causes me. No matter how many issues I have to discuss he spends a fair amount of time on each issue I have. I am very fortunate to have Dr Priola as my PCP.

Dr. Priola is the greatest. Down to earth and a very caring man. He will never make you feel bad or talk down to you. He really cares about you.

Dr. Priola is the nicest, most professional doctor I know. He had been my PCP for years. About a year ago, I switched PCP's do to moving about 40 minutes away. As of recently, I have switched back to Dr. Priola. If you are looking for an understanding doctor who won't make you feel insignificant; if you want a doctor that really cares about you; a doctor that is adamant about getting you the correct diagnosis, then Dr. Priola is the right doctor for you. Yes, the wait time can be long at times. However, when he is with you, he gives you his undivided attention. Dr. Priola is outstanding!

Prior to my initial visit, I received a packet of paperwork to be filled out prior. With that was a letter stating that if you are late or cancel your appointment without appropriate advance notice, you will not be admitted as a new patient to the practice. I assumed this meant they had respect for a patient's time, but I arrived at my appointment a half hour early and was left waiting fifteen minutes after my scheduled time. When I asked how much longer it would be I was told another 15 minutes at least and that the doctor was spending time with patients. I was there long enough to know the doctor was visiting with a pharm rep as he came in and asked for him and went straight back, left and came back again. This doctor needs to learn that his is not the only time that is precious. I had to leave to get to another appointment and when I asked about rescheduling was told it would be at least another two months before a new patient appointment would be available. No apologies from the… staff. I will find another DO in my area.
