Dr. James Kim, MD

Dr. James Kim specializes in cardiovascular disease with additional expertise in interventional cardiology. He completed his medical education at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and went on to complete his residency at University of Chicago Medical Center. Dr. Kim further advanced his training through a fellowship at University of California, San Diego, where he developed specialized skills in interventional procedures. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Korean.

Dr. Kim is affiliated with Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center and practices at multiple locations throughout Chula Vista, National City, La Mesa, and El Cajon. His clinical focus includes treating high blood pressure and managing hypertensive emergencies. He performs diagnostic procedures such as electrocardiograms and contrast echocardiography to evaluate heart function. Dr. Kim also utilizes remote patient monitoring technology to help patients manage their cardiovascular health between office visits.
