Dr. Jamie A Akin, DO

My son was born at 29 weeks and I was recommended to go to Dr. Akin. We had a look at her ratings and reviews and were curious why some of them were so bad so we gave them a call and asked to speak to someone in regards to this. Someone gave us a call back and said Dr. Akin did not want to see us at her office.

I had been taking my grandson to Jaime for months with a chronic infection, all the signs of a sinus infection, but she wouldn't go anything for him except say he was asthmatic and put him on a nebulizer. The child suffered for months. Finally my mom came to vist, wh was a physician in AZ who put the child on an antibiotic immediately, Within days, the child was healed... no asthma, no nothing, and it never came back. We found a different doctor who had some sense. I can't believe she calls herself a pediatrician. Did she ever get her credentials, or is she still just using the title?

i am so disappointed in the office of dr akin, a 35 week gestation baby born at a rural hospital that does not do deliveries was turned away and refused service because of a problem with the sooner care. This 1 week old child needed to see a peditirican today to check out how it is really doing since it was early and has not been seen by a peditrician yet. Thsi tiny baby was refused service, this is not acceptable.

Dr. Akin is the best pediatrician in Durant! We love her!

The waiting time depends on what day and what time of day it is. My son has had early moring appointments which allowed us to get in and out of this doctor's office quickly. He has also had appointments on Friday afternoon and we had very little waiting time, I am talking five to ten minutes, on those appointments.

All of my grandchildren ( 6 of them range in age from 3 mo to 10 yrs) are patients of Dr. Akin and she does a wonderful job with children. She is intelligent and professional and down to earth. I appreciate every thing she does for them.
