Dr. Jason Gumma, DO

WOW! Dr. Jason Gumma was literally our hero last night at the St. Joseph Providence Park Hospital in Novi, MI in the E.R.! We told him my husband's symptoms he had been suffering from terribly for 5 weeks and already had seen 2 different specialists & had been even hospitalized for it overnight at a different hospital and no one had done anything at all to help him and there had been nothing but guesses at what was wrong, without doing anything more than bloodwork, no imaging, nothing! Dr. Gumma thought that was inexcusable & confidently and comfortingly assured us "That is over with as of NOW! I will not let you leave here until you are tested, diagnosed and I have helped you" And true to his word that is exactly what he did... what all the others didn't do for an entire month + 1 week, Dr. Gumma did in 4 hours of treatment! On top of that, his bedside manner was respectful, compassionate, reassuring, etc. He was a great listener and explained things to us clearly to make sure we… understood everything. He even gave us his card in case there were any unexpected further issues once we went home that night. THAT is a Doctor! I see on here, now that he won The Patient's Choice Awards twice and we can see why! I'm surprised he hasn't won every year!

Dr. Gumma had phenominal bedside manners. Took time to talk with myself and my family. He's an asset to medicine.
