Dr. Jay Austin Johnson, MD

Expert Knowlege and excellent relationship skills

I have no doubt that Dr. Johnson takes my cardiac health seriously. He has been proactive in recommending changes to my lifestyle as much as changes to my medications and suggested procedures (short and long-term), but he makes all these recommendations with just the right amount of caution. He also has no qualms about telling me straight what I can and cannot expect from each recommendation. I am a BIG fan! As for his office, the people on staff are great but the overall office is run very poorly. This is not a reflection on Dr. Johnson, however; the office is run by his business partner's spouse. IMHO she should retire and be replaced by someone who understands customer service fundamentals, knows how to lead staff, and can ensure the office is run effectively.

If the way his office is run is any indication of his job performance. Cancel Christmas!!! He was also 45 minutes late after I had an IV in me and was in the operating room where they do the procedure! Not very comforting!I think I may need a 2nd opinion!!!The Nursing staff there was very nice!!!

Thorough, detailed explanations of diagnosis, condition, prognosis; accessible by phone; caring, engaged, patient, compassionate; sharp, intelligent; a very busy practice,but he still takes sufficient time with you.
