Dr. Jay Masaji Marumoto, MD

Dr. Marumoto is an excellent surgeon and doctor. He answered all my questions pre-surgery and post surgery. He did my torn rotator cuff/calcium deposit surgery 16 years ago and I haven't had problems. Great office staff and I would recommend him to friends.

Dr. Marumoto re-attached my torn pectoral muscle, and it seems to have healed fairly nicely.

Dr. Marumoto is awesome. He’s patient, listens, and explains things clearly. I had a total knee replacement and was golfing and diving again 6 weeks later! Highly recommend him!

I left with uncertainty. He said he couldn’t help me and that I had to go see pain management. I am very uncertain about how my knees are going to continue to affect me. For now, I’m just thinking about pain management and that makes me sad. He would have helped me if he had taken more than the 15 minutes he took in my appointment. I guess he is busy or does not think he can help in other ways such as sending your patients off feeling better. I just felt he didn’t care enough. Maybe he really couldn’t help but at least let me know what I’m going to look forward to. Give me options to look forward to. All he gave me was pain management with my PCP.

It was wonderful no more waiting long for the Dr and the nurses were very helpful . Answered questions clearly and I don’t mind telling all my friends and family about how great Dr Jay M Marumoto & his staff .

Dr Marumoto has performed 3 surgeries on me since 2015. (2 ACL repairs, and 1 torn rotator cuff). I am happy to report that I have recovered 100% and was able to return to full duty as a Honolulu Firefighter after every surgery! He is one of the kindest and most understanding doctors I've ever had the pleasure to work with. And his staff is just amazing! I never felt like I was an inconvenience to them! I was always treated like a friend, and not just a number. I would highly recommend Dr. Jay Marumoto for all your orthopedic needs!
