Dr. Jay Michael Trussler, DO

I am not sure where to stay with how bad of a Dr this man really is. One of his nurse-practitioners misdiagnosed me and admitted doing it. On a subsequent visit for the same issue they should have caught to begin with- they missed a UTI that I had causing me personal anguish and further expense. I did not even think it would be an issue that I did want to pay for either visit. The FIRST and ONLY conversation I have ever had with this man was today when he called. He tried to patronize me with crap like "now you want the nurse that took your vitals to get paid right?". When that didn't work he went to my weight gain (9 pounds) and my lack of discipline in taking synthroyd which has nothing to do with the virus that I had. When I informed him that the nurse-practitioner admitted to making a mistake, he completely ignored that. This arrogant man did what Doctors do. He thought he could bully me by yelling and not letting me speak at all. I asked him if I could finish my… sentence multiple times during this conversation, but he refused to let me speak. When I said "damn"- he jumped on that as an excuse to end the conversation, tell me I need to find a new Doctor, and that my total bill would be sent to collections. Dr Trussler is a greedy, arrogant, rude individual. He does not accept responsibility for the care provided in his office. He knows he was totally wrong today, and I honestly don't know he he sleeps at night. I am filing complaints with every avenue open to me. And all he had to do was the right thing.

Dr. Jay is a breathe of fresh air to the often-derided medical profession. He’s smart; thoughtful, caring about the outcome of his diagnoses; and brings a wealth of knowledge of other speciality physicians who can be relied upon to give equally great care when needed. His ability to “be patient with his patients” allows those of us who don’t always understand, to ask and become comfortable with his prescribed regimens. That’s so often overlooked, but so very vital to good care. I highly recommend Dr. Jay Trussler.

His nurse practitioner Janice keeps giving my elderly mother pain medication that she is abusing and winds up in the ER every few months. They need to investigate.

Very thorough, does not rush through the visit! Great caregiver! His staff are patient and thorough as well!

It appears that he cares more about your wallet than he does a patient. His staff is extremely rude. You can't get any help from them via the phone but have to make an appointment when you need something. Getting his staff to return a phone call, especially when you need help,.is an act of futility. There are much better doctors with much better credentials.

I think many of the negative reviews are people who were hoping to fill up on pain meds rather than be seen for a real problem. Dr. Trussler took more time during my initial visit than I've ever had at other offices, granted they were military doctors. I have to admit I was a little put off by the weird "free this innocent guy" postings in the waiting area. Other than that it I think it was a good visit.

Has the worst bed side manor and is lacking in ethics!

Have never actually seen Dr. Trussler. He is only in the office one day a wk and it takes a couple of weeks to get an appt. with him. You see with the nurse practitioners. I don't like this system at all. I go because it is easy to be seen when I need to. However, I am at the point to look elsewhere. The exam rooms and restroom are very dirty and need a good cleaning.
