I had swelling in both legs Three ultrasounds were negative He referred me to a hematologist who did a complete work-up It was determined I needed a procedure to determine if stents would improve my swelling. One was placed in my R iliac vein. Another procedure would determine if stents would help my L leg.

"Legsaver"!!!. My husband and I first met Dr. Kaplan for a cardiovascular visit. He successfully put stents in my husband's left leg and fixed the problem.. We again came across Dr. Kaplan at the Good Samaritan Wound Center for a wound on his foot which was also successfully treated. This year when my husband was admitted to Good Sam and ultimately diagnosed with sepsis, two staff doctors advised my husband that he was in danger of losing his life within a couple days if he didn't have his right leg amputated above the knee as the sepsis was moving quickly through his system. After much contemplation that very day, my husband opted for a lesser treatment, which ended up being a debridement. After the debridement procedure and several days of considering any further options, I contacted Dr. Kaplan at the Would Center. After a full day at the Wound Center that day he was kind enough to see my husband at the hospital. His conclusion, after actually seeing the leg was… that NO the leg did NOT need to come off. His leg is now fully healed. Without Dr. Kaplan, my husband would most likely be confined to a wheelchair for the remainder of his life. My husband and my entire family that God for Dr. Kaplan. I highly recommend him as a cardiovascular surgeon as well as a great wound care specialist. He is very caring and very compassionate about his patients and his work. He will fight for the well being and welfare of his patients!!!

Excellent Dr. He knows what he's doing. He's been taking care of my ulcer on my R-leg. It's healing in less time.

I never got to meet this wonderful skilled man with a heart of gold. My 17 year old son was stabbed numerous of times and died twice, once in the ambulance and got to the hospital and died for 4 minutes, hope was lost and heard Dr. Kaplan came in and didn't give up on him. When arriving in CA, my son and I wanted to see him but he was on vacation. I wish I could express how grateful I am to have him there at the right place and the right time. GOD put him there. GOD put Dr. Kaplan in his position to show that miracles still happens.
