Dr. Jeffrey Alan Klugman, MD

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had in a doctor's office. My daughter and I both left there crying... We were treated like some low-life ignorant people I honestly felt like we were treated The Way We Were because yes we are on Government Assisted insurance . Dr Klugman was very arrogant and condescending and argumentative. He had no bedside manner or respect for the love of the Game that an athlete has. My daughter loves softball and he pretty much told us softball was out of the picture and never told us for how long. but wanted to do exploratory surgery the day after her accident where she slid into home plate and was stepped on with a metal cleat and ended up dislocating her thumb and needing stitches. She complained of her wrist hurting also and he did X-rays and said that it was fine. After going to another doctor for a second opinion they did an x-ray and her wrist was fractured also which he either overlooked or neglected to tell us on purpose. the fact that he… wanted to do surgery proves to me he was only in it to make money because that is not what she needed. Please if you want a dr. With bedside manner who's going to treat you with courtesy and respect do not take your child here. He was the rudest doctor I have ever dealt with. He even went as far as mocking the hospital who reset and stitched her thumb however we were treated with respect and sympathy. If you have government assistance and need to see an orthopedic doctor Next Level Sports Medicine is amazing and we are so glad that we ended up there and got the answers and the treatment that we needed. Come to find out 3 weeks in a cast is all she needed and she'll be back on the field. if we had not gotten a second opinion she may have been out for months and had surgery that wasn't needed. I will say dr. Klungmans nurse was amazing and he is the only reason that I gave two stars

For such a long wait, you would think you would get at least an apology

Dr. Klugman entered our lives after my daughter severely cut her finger at work. Our local hospital had merely stitched her up and sent her home with instructions "to keep covered for a day and bathe as usual." When she still had no sensation the next morning, we were sent to Dr. Klugman via workers' comp. I admit to being concerned because the choice was out of my control--but, the Lord answered my prayers and put us in absolutely wonderful hands. They worked us in quickly. She had cut through the tendon and nerves, and into the first joint of her index finger. Recognizing the narrow window he had to save her finger, Dr. K. went above and beyond, calling seven hospitals/surgical centers pleading for an operating room in which to preform the surgical repair. Though Dr. Klugman is a young man, he practices with the care and skill of an "old school" doctor--the kind that are nearly extinct. He showed much concern during her six month recovery and physical therapy period. Her appointments… with him were always delightful; as well as being an excellent doctor, he can be quite entertaining! No reason to dread an appointment with him. Most importantly, the results: he attained a much better outcome than he even thought would be possible, i.e., range of motion and improved sensation. Finally, no, I did not receive any compensation for this review! ;-}

Unfortunately, I was never able to see Dr Klugman because of the problems with his staff returning phone calls and then their rudeness. I had to go to another Dr in the same practice. I was told because I canceled an appointment that the records were destroyed and I had to start over with the referral process. Poor customer service by his staff

Very good doctor.

Dr. Klugman is a rare find in a doctor. He's very intelligent, yet explains medical problems so it is easy to understand what is occurring. Last summer Dr. Klugman performed carpal tunnel surgery on one of my hands and what a relief! I was concerned about the surgery but Dr. Klugman put me at ease. You will not regret putting your faith in Dr. Klugman.
