Good doctors are out there, this one is not a good one. Be aware. Her bedside manor is TERRIBLE.

It’s funny reading these reviews because I first met DR Gibson in the hospital when I had our twins who spent 11 days there. While I watched all the different pediatricians on call with ours I also was able to observe them tending to the other babies in the nursery (let me state the hospital in my city doesn’t have a nicu therefor they stay in the nursery if not transferred for any issues or problems) I instantly had the most amazing respect for this woman as not one other dr could diagnose my twins properly, she went above and beyond and went as far to check my pregnancy health and pre pregnancy health and had she not done that I have no idea what could’ve happened. I also watched her spend and entire night when she wasn’t even supposed to be there trying to find out what was wrong with a baby with a rare issue, she consulted books, spoke with the top most respected specialists all to save this little boys life. She cares sooo much about her patients. We’ve seen her for over three… years and each appt we laugh we smile and my girls love her! Heck so do we! When I was trying to pick a pediatrician I saw all your crappy reviews and I’m just going to say it almost made me not go with her, however I make my own judgements about people and am always glad I do. She not only does hospital hours each day, she’s on call, does her patients and still leaves open available last minute my kid woke up sick appointments I honestly have no idea how she does it but she’s AMAZING! She always it the most well respected doctor on the maternity ward every other pediatrician defer to her for her wisdom as well as her experience! Her nurses are super polite and helpful and the only issue I ever had was a nurse not getting an urgent message to her in which she excused herself from the room to personally deal with the nurse who she immediately knew had to take my call due to the date and hours I called. She politely came back in and apologized and said it’d never happen again and hasn’t. I always get returned calls. Her bedside manner is amazing she is quick when needed however she does so much I get that and she will always answer our questions before we leave even when I say this may be a dumb question she gives me the answer and explains it. I think these crappy reviews are put here because the people who’ve written them did something she may have called them out on or may just be crappy parents. She takes pride in her job as well as practice and patients.

I have been seeing her for about 10 years. Every time I leave the office I say to myself, "I'm not going back". This time I won't. I have contacted another doctor for my care. She is rude, inconsiderate and pompous. I thought I was the only one who felt disrespected while in her presence, however, after reading other reviews I see that is her M.O. Office staff seems to never get things done in a efficient manner. Dr. will not tolerate you being more than 10 minutes late, but you wait at least 30 minutes out front and then again in the back. Hard choice to make, but I'm glad I am not going back there, ever.

This is a professional??? I call shenanigans. Regardless of whatever academic success this dr. has had, she ruins it all with her attitude. The last review I think was written by the physician herself, a staff member that was forced to write it, or someone overly medicated. I am not a patient but I am in the medical field and a presumed colleague. I have worked in my field of practice for 16 years and NEVER EVER been confronted with such ignorance, nastiness, rudeness, immaturity and unprofessional behavior. All of the medical "professionals" (definitely not Gibson)and staff I have had the pleasure to interact with have always been respectful and cooperative. NOT THIS OFFICE. Our office sent 1 form to this office 4 times. This form is extremely easy to understand and complete, trust me!!! I have had hundreds of physicians complete this form over the years. If there was any missing info it was quickly resolved and completed...again, not with this doctor. Finally when the… patient's family member had to take the form in and have it completed correctly the form came back to our office with snide comments all over the form. For example, several areas on the form where the doctor failed read simple directions was marked with "seriously??", and an area where we needed affirmation she wrote "well is that not obvious??" What a pretencious scrooge. From the other comments on this page I was not surprised with the reply that I received from their office. I feel sorry for the other physicians associated with that office because quite frankly Gibson tarnished any professionalism that office had. I hope this helps any prospective patient in finding a helpful, professional, interactive, and open minded healthcare provider. Cheers!

Dr Gibson is not my child's pediatrician but came to the hospital the day our son was born for buckeye family health. Literally moments after I had my son she came into the room, she had a terrible attitude, like we were Interrupting her day, she started questioning about my allergie bracelet and how I was allergic to that allergy, when i tried to explaine she was very rude to me, my aunt who was in the room tried to speak and she got very aggressive with Her to shut her up. She checked my son and told me that my son had to stay an extra day. I was extremely upset, I just spent the last couple of hrs bringing my baby into the world, it was a beautiful experience and she had completely ruined it. When she walked out of the room even the nurses were shocked.. I wish that was the last of the story but it only got worse. The next day she came back, she looked at my son again and told me that his eyes were a different shape and that his ears were set Rly far apart. And that we had to keep… an eye (basically saying that he could be Down syndrome) with no further explanation she left the room again. When she came back I had told her that I wanted to have my son circumcised she said that she didn't agree with circumcising babies but that I guess she would come back on her lunch break.... Well the hours passed and the nurses came and took my son to the nursery for his circumcision and Dr. Gibson never showed up she just never came back so they had to send a new doctor to do his circumcision I am appalled at her bedside manner she had ruined my whole experience of having a child and bring a child into this world. She had literally takin a beautiful moment and compleat my ruined it. It was not the fact that she said our son could be DS it was the way she went about it. She was extremely ride with me family too. Before we got to leave the hosp our sons real doc came and had to tell me that they had to test our son for DS. And we had to wait 2 weeks to find out. He didn't look at all DS and passed everyone of his tests. I would never let her close to any of my children. Nightmare....

I don't recommend this doctor for your child. I just took my child for a second opinion and he is severely underweight. I don't appreciate being yelled at because I have questions and concerns.

I get extremely frustrated every time I have to come to see Gibson. Every time I have had to wait a more than acceptable amount of time to see her. The office staff are flaky, and I can never expect them to do their job. I usually end up having to call multiple times to get anything done. As for Gibson, her bedside manner is horrible, but she does try hard to get a correct diagnosis.

It took the Dr & Staff 3 weeks, 1 Letter, 4 Phonecalls, 1 Visit in Person, 4 Office Staff to get 5 RX's called in to my pharmacy, & 2 trips to the pharmacy. I had typed my RX's, Dosage, & Amount, complete with Phone No's & Pharmacy Info, and THEY STILL COULDN'T GET IT RIGHT. Then the Dr got snotty & only gave me 1 refill on an uncontrolled Osteoporosis drug that I have neen taking for over 15 years & need to take monthly. Sad, Childish, & Unprofessional behavior!

Doctor Gibson is a professional many should and could learn from. She is the most caring and intelligent doctor i've ever seen. She knows what she's talking about and makes it a point to always learn about any new health threats and continue her education, not only for her own good, but so she can pass that information on to her patients as well. She is always helping people with no health insurance to save money, and offering anything and everything she can to keep her patients healthy.
