Dr. Jennifer Diane Gorman, MD

Dr Gorman has been my rheumatologist for 15 years and she’s the best! An amazing physician My autoimmune disease, Severe Sjogren’s ( dry eyes, dry mouth and dry nose), was Never diagnosed until Dr Gorman In addition her bed side manner is relaxed , super friendly and personable She also really knows her medicine So down to earth she seems more like a friend than a doctor I’m about to see her at Pacmed. I have followed her from Virginia Mason and then the Polyclinic. Now I’ve tracked her down to Ward clinic!

I have been with Dr. Gorman for the past eleven years. I love her caring manner and her thoroughness at each visit. She takes the time to listen to what I have to say and let's me have a say in my treatment. She is cautious to make dramatic changes but did honor my request to come off a medicine that was making me sick. She calls to check on me. Even though I have moved out of the area a few times, I always fly back into town to meet with her. She does have young children and makes them a priority. I agree with that but I have never had a hard time getting an appointment with her when I needed one.

Doesn't work that many hours and very hard to schedule with. Had to switch To A different Rheumatologist since she doesn't see patients on Mondays or Fridays and her last appointment is at 2:30 the days she does work. Sad I had to leave, is agreat doctor. Her priorities just aren't right.

Dr. Gorman may seem nice at first, but she has an ego the size of China. If she can't figure something out, she will dismiss you as psychosomatic and try to refer you to a psychiatrist. She did this very thing to me and two days later, I am in the hospital with SLE pericarditis. Avoid her. I also know someone who went to see her for RA and Gorman adjusted her medicines without fully consulting her and she ended up going down the tubes. Dr. Gorman also likes to cancel appointments, totally unreliable.

I scheduled an appointment more than 4 months out, only to be called to a few weeks prior that I needed to reschedule because she will be out of office. I am looking for a different rheumatologist.

I was going to schedule an appointment but after reading the negative reviews of her unscrupulous scheduling techniques, I will go elsewhere. The logical conclusion is that a doctor that adopts a careless attitude in fulfilling commitments to new patients would be a careless doctor.

I would never under any circumstances recommend Dr. Gorman to anyone. My first appointment was scheduled 5 months out and then it was cancelled due to a "meeting" (remember I scheduled this appointment 5 months beforehand). I rescheduled for a later date. I received a confirmation phone call, showed up for my scheduled, confirmed appointment and was told that my appointment had been cancelled due to a "meeting". This is not a good person; at this point it does not matter if she is a "good" doctor - I have no experience with her being a "good" doctor, all I know is that she is a thoughtless, inconsiderate person who does not respect others - that makes her unprofessional to the core.

Don't schedule with Dr. Gorman. She will just reschedule your appointment anyways. Also is never working so finding an appointment is prettyuch impossible. Should just retire since she doesn't work.

Constantly get rescheduled. I am frankly getting tired of it. You take time off work to be told constantly sorry "she can't see you again, please reschedule". Dr Gorman needs to het prioritys straight. Either be a doctor and come to work or leave. At least if she left I could see a different ptovider. Was told can't see another Rheumatolgist at the polyclinic because they are booked out months due to beimg short handed on doctors. So now I am stuck with a doctor, who only cares about taking time off. Yay!

I've been to 4 or 5 Rheumatologists over the last 3.5 years (among many other specialists) trying to figure out what is wrong with me. I kept being dismissed with the label of Fibromyalgia and treated like a overly worried little girl (I'm 31) Blood tests were done, but physical exams for anything, but "tender points" were never done by anyone except Dr. Gorman. She took me seriously, she listened, she did an exam for seronegative auto immune conditions. She was very surprised that I had no experience with these tests. She said my back measurements were very abnormal. So based on that and what I told her she said you probably have ankylosing spondylitis, something I'd long suspected I was a good fit for. She also suggested an empirical trial of Enbrel to verify her diagnosis. She spent time with me explaining what I could expect from Enbrel, why Enbrel over other biologics, why she decided against sending me for a CT that might give more info, and gave me a card that would pay for… the 1st 6 months of Enbrel (it acts as a secondary "insurance" plan to cover any copays necessary). Overall, she cared, she listened, she treated me as a person deserving of compassion and dignity, She explained the significance of what she was doing and was not going to do. She is a bit hard to schedule with for a new patient appointment. I had to wait 3.5 months, but she is well worth the wait as long as you come prepared for the appointment.
