Dr. Jeremy Louis Howes, MD

I was taken to the hospital by EMS unresponsive and in critical condition. Long story short. Dr. Jeremy L Howes was the surgeon to come to my aid. This was my first experience I had with Dr. J L Howes and after having a discussion with him about what my issues were. He was the most understanding, highly personable, thoughtful and caring surgeon a patient needs when they are in dire need of medical help. After explaining what the problems were and recommended what needed to done to correct them. After he discussed the team that he would be working with, I knew that he was dedicated and trustworthy. He has excellent communication skills and incredible bedside manners. After saving my life with two surgeries in two days with his team I was on my way to start a new life without severe pain everyday all day. How can I not feel so Blessed to have Dr. J L Howes at my side when I needed a surgeon for support in my life ASAP. No words can ever express the true gratitude for his valued… devotion to caring and sharing his craft of assisting those of us in such great need. I would highly recommend Dr. J L Howes to anyone in need of medical assistance to give him a call you will be so pleased that you did. 5 STARS...

I absolutely love Dr Howes, he treats you like you are someone he truly cares about and he listens. He doesn't run in your room and run out. He takes the time to ask and listen both, wonderful caring Dr.

Dr Howes is a strait shooter and does amazing work. He saved my life.

Dr. Howes is thoughtful, kind and explain everything very thoroughly! He went above and beyond for my gallbladder surgery and was the first to listen to my lengthy history of issues. I’d recommend everyone I love to his services!

Dr Howes has done many procedures for me, and I am now going under the knife again in a very complicated and risky surgery. Dr Howes not only takes the office time to sit and listen completely, but he also WILL NOT leave the room unless he knows you are satisfied and have all of your questions answered. One of my favorite things about Dr Howes as a physician, is that he is VERY VERY straight forward and blunt doctor. He is not afraid to tell you the truth especially if the truth is going to save your life. He draws pictures on the paper that covers the exam room bed, just to make sure I understand everything that's gonna happen. He treats me with respect and compassion, and gets the job done. He is not "cocky" or at all narcissistic like some other great surgeons can be. He is cautious when need be, and does not perform un-necessary procedures. He told me about the surgery I needed, and explained that it was extremely high risk, then chose to try ALL other less… invasive options first. He did not just jump to surgery, like I had happen with another surgeon in the past. I have the most confidence that I am in the right hands for my upcomming surgery, and know that Dr Howes will take every step possible to save my life. I am not a huge fan of the feont desk staff. They are not very personable at all. I don't think that in the two years I've been to that office, that I have ever seen any of the front desk women even smile at all. I like his nurses alot, and how quickly they return my calls. However, I did have to score low on "promptness", because, OF COURSE there is a wait at the office viaits sometimes. But Dr. Howes IS a surgeon afterall , so I expect a wait. Actually, when waiting for an office visit, when they say that he is behind due to surgery, It actually reaffirmes my faith in him, because that means that he is one of the best, and in high demand!!

Clerical Staff is not helpful and in my opinion downright rude. But of course " they do eat lunch too" one comment I could have gone all day without hearing from the not so helpful person on the other end of the line. reLly like Dr Howes, he does not have an inflated value of self.

I am about to go under the knife....I guess I can rate more accurately after that.

While there is a very long rate, Dr. Howes and his staff are top notch.

I have now had 2 surgeries performed by Dr. Howes and have been completely satisfied. The first was an elective surgery and the most recent was an unexpected appendectomy. This last surgery was on a holiday weekend, he was not on call, and had been performing several other surgeries under some difficult circumstances (ice storm and a difficult case before mine) and yet he was compassionate and apologetic for making me wait even though most of it was out of his control. I then had to make a call the following night to the surgeon's call line and he was the one who answered my call and again, was kind and compassionate in answering my questions. I have the highest regard for Dr. Howes and would choose him whenever possible for any furture surgical needs.

I have been truly impressed and eternally grateful for the care and treatment that Dr. Howes has shown my brother, William Turk. My brother has an ongoing esophagus problem and Dr. Howes not only takes the time to explain what is going on with the patient he always asks how I am managing. My brother is on dialysis and is blind. He loves Dr. Howes. He is treated like a person and not just a patient. He goes above and beyond to make things easier for us. Can't wait for the Dr. to get back.
