Dr. Jeremy Jackson Reid, MD

Dr, Jeremy Reid was recommended by a gym friend who had hip replacement surgery by him. I interviewed both a Rothman surgeon and Dr. Reid. I chose Dr. Reid for his intelligence in explaining any medical question I asked in a manner that I completely understood. I liked his bedside manner and humor. I thought his research in his field was up to date and authentic. My right hip replacement was terrific. I followed all suggestions and can’t see my scar. When I needed my left hip replaced, I went to Dr. Jeremy Reid. He is an intelligent, friendly, knowledgeable person as well as a surgeon. My left hip replacement is just as excellent.

Went to him to check on pain I was having in my right thigh one year after broken hip surgery by another doctor in the practice. His attitude was negative from the start. I tried to tell him about my autoimmune issues which I thought could be contributing to the pain. He cut me right off and told me there was nothing wrong with the bone in my thigh. Every time I tried to say something, he cut me off. He suddenly moved forward toward me (I was sitting fully clothed in my wheelchair). He grabbed my thigh forcefully and pulled my flesh up and twisted it. I yelled that he was hurting me. At this point he mocked me for having no muscle mass. I am 81 years old and have had RA for 17 years. He then said I should buy an exercise bike and use it everyday, pointed his finger to his forehead and told me the pain was all in my head. At this point I turned to my daughter and said “let’s go.” He then literally ran out of the exam room ahead of us and I saw him sitting in his cubicle typing… very fast as we passed by. This doctor humiliated and physically hurt me, my leg pain has increased since he mauled it. I have never been treated like this by any doctor in my life. He should not be practicing medicine, and from other reviews I see here, he shouldn’t even have a license. I will never use this practice again.

I accompanied my father on his last appointment with Dr. Jeremy Reid to get results of a hip MRI. Dr. Reid was defensive, impatient and condescending towards my father who was trying to explain the pain he was experiencing in his leg. Jeremy barely discussed the results and instead was more interested in correcting the technicalities of our questions. At the end of our appointment he told my father that the reason why he feels the way he does is because he is 86 years old! Needless to say we requested to see another doctor in the practice for his next appt because of a personality conflict. To our surprise we were told that there was no other doctor in the practice that would take my father on as a patient. Wow! One complaint and they throw you out the door! Clearly, Dr. Reid must have been in this hot seat before. Patients have rights and they should not be treated this way. Totally unprofessional.

Dr. Reid performed a total knee replacement which left me with pain and discomfort, making it uncomfortable to walk. My complaints were dismissed and minimalized by Dr. Reid ("maybe you don't know how to handle pain like other people do"), and so I was left feeling humiliated and confused. Two years and much frustration later, another doctor finally discovered what Dr. Reid had done wrong (and couldn't believe it). It took another surgery (with an 11-inch scar) to correct all the errors and restore my knee close to where it should have been after the original surgery. Take my advice and avoid this man...don't suffer as I did.

Dr Reid and his co-partener are very good knee sergons. I had a total knee and knee-cap replacement. I was feeling better and waiting to go back to work in two months, but my surgery required a three month leave. I am now scheduling my surgery for my other knee. (They are the BEST!)
