Dr. Jo-Ann Szylit, MD

I’ve been a patient of Dr Szylit for many years and have a lot of respect for her skill as a doctor. So I was more than a little shocked and upset when I tried to make an appointment this morning. I have a itchy angry rash that has my primary doctor stumped so I wanted Dr Szylit to look at it. I told the receptionist my problem and asked for an appointment as quickly as possible. She asked if I had been there before? I said yes. She then asked if my insurance was the same? I told her no, I have recently changed to Medicare. She put me on hold for a short while. When she came back she said the earliest appointment was TWO WEEKS FROM NOW!! I explained this needed to be seen now, not in two weeks! She didn’t care. Two weeks was the best they could do!! I only hope Dr Szylit would be as shocked as I was to hear about this. I know she’s very busy but this was not something that could wait. Makes me wonder if it’s an insurance issue? If I was still covered by my old insurance would I have… gotten an immediate appointment?

My daughter sees Dr. Szylit for her acne. The doctor always listens to my concerns and is very professional with many years of experience. The office is great to deal with also. Love the location with lots of parking.

Outstanding physician and person

One of the best dermatologists. She is very precise in diagnosis and accurate in prescribing medication. Other dermatologists wrongly diagnosed my skin problem but Doctor Szylit was correct on the first visit. My daughter has also seen her. Doctor Szylit gave her two options of treatments. One is more invasive than the other but she suggested the lesser invasive one first and never pushed for the other invasive and expansive treatment. My daughter is on her way to recovery. Few more good things: easy to get appointments, works with your insurance, office staffs are prompt in returning calls. Medical profession should have doctors like this rather than making it a business only profession.

Dr Syzlit has been my doctor for years . She is an excellent doctor who is very caring . She is very knowledgeable and will thoroughly answer all your questions. I highly recommend her .

WONDERFUL OFFICE!! FRIENDLY STAFF!!!

Dr. Szylit is by far the best dermatologist in the area! All the doctors in her office are wonderful! The staff is friendly and go out of their way to help you and make you feel comfortable!

Very Friendly, Knowledgeable and Professional.

Great personal demeanor. Answered all questions in understandable terms. Put me at ease. Very friendly. Did not rush at all. Waiting time was less than 5 minutes-contrary to prior physician I went to in Riverdale. Office staff was also excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Szylit.
