Dr. Joan Helena Rose, MD

My hand hurt so bad, so I go to this Joan Rose MD- hence hand surgeon. I had to fill out 7 pages of medical info to go then in to the receptionist, for her to put it in manually and take pictures of my ID's with a cell phone and transfer to a computer. Another wait time to go in a room with a rusted table,I assume was for observation. The Dr. Was more impressed with my mask! Never examined my hand, but x rayed it. After explaining I just had it x-rayed. I was told by the receptionist, nurse, doctor that I needed to quit smoking before surgery. Really as a senior I didn't need a statement from the 3. So Medicare was billed $950.00. Smoking and tobacco use intensive counseling, more than 10 minutes - charge was $400. Patient visit 45-59 minutes $300.00. I saw the Dr. No more than 15 minutes. I left there feeling defeated from medical care- looking for an answer. My hand hurt so bad from writing, I cried that night. I wasn't going to write a review but after getting my Medicare break… down, I couldn't believe the charges that was fabricated.

Staff got me in quickly and Dr Rose took care of my wrist. Thank you

Staff is RUDE. Dr. Rose 'Fixed" my carpal tunnel. I am now having to go get a 2nd opinion due to the issues arising again.

I had a made a call to try to make an appointment as I was explaining what happen, the lady cut me off and told I need to go back to the ER and that the Dr didn't have any new opening for that!! She could had said from the begging when she ask me if I was a new patient that she is not taking no one, very disappointed because she has great reviews!!

I recommend Dr Rose for any hand issues. She is compassionate, caring, kind and professional. The treatment she has given me has enabled me to use my hands again. She and her staff are not only the people I count on to help me, they have become good friends. You just don’t find doctors or staff like this very often.

Dr. Rose office (Christy) sent me to the VA Hospital because the my wrist injury happened while I served in th-e military. I have never heard of a doctor not wanting to see a patient veteran due to service connected injury. Outrageous. And, I have two forms of insurance.

I am very thankful to God for helping me to find Dr. Rose. My special needs son had chewed on his finger tips causing them to be infected. His Primary Care Physician prescribed an antibiotic, but my son experienced side effects from it; therefore, was switched to another drug. He experienced even more severe side effects with the second drug and had to be taken off of it also. I was concerned that his finger tips might have to be amputated if the infection continued. I prayed in Jesus name then looked on the internet for a hand doctor. I sensed the leading of the Holy Spirit to make an appointment with Dr. Rose. She and her staff were so kind and helpful. She arranged her schedule to allow extra time for my son as she was aware that he was a special needs individual. She was very thorough in all that she did. She recommended a topical med which we persistently applied. As we left her office she said, "We can pray." I knew then, for sure, that we had chosen' the right… doctor. The rest is history. My son's finger tips healed up. Praise God! When we went back to my son's Primary Care Physician he asked how we were ever able to get our son's finger tips to heal. I told him about Dr. Rose and the med she recommended. It has been a couple years since this occurred, and I am only now finding the time to write a review, but I will never forget God's faithfulness to rescue us out of a very critical situation and of the way He used Dr. Rose and her staff to do it. Blessed be the name of Jesus forever.

A doctor that has compassion for her patients. She doesn't rush you in and out in five minutes to take the time to listen. Wonderful doctor not many great doctors like this are still around. There are times when I weigh less than five minutes and there are times that I might have to wait 15â??20 minutes but that is because she does not rush her patients out.

I have been seeing Dr. Rose for a year for arthritis. I recently underwent surgery on my hand. She is AWESOME!!!! And her office staff is too!! Everyone there is so caring, patient, and knowledgeable.
