I had bilateral hip replacements and after 2 years I struggle to walk with immense hip pain. Madeline essentially told me I wasnt having any issues and closed my case out and I can’t see them. Not sure if it was a racial issue bc I was constantly met with abrasiveness and closed ears. I’m left with continued issues and having to find a new doctor. This was rude and careless and not sure about the other reviews but maybe they were non-poc who had “great treatments. Unprofessional and rude at best. If you are POC in my opinion I would see someone else. Madeline is cruel and so is Dr clohisy for dumping me while making me disabled- Nelson

I have been battling a hip problem for nearly five years and had been with other surgeons who had completely made things worse. As soon as I found Dr, Clohisy he sent me straight to Detroit to get a specific ultrasound to get a final diagnosis. Once I did, he operated shortly after and I have never felt better. He repaired and redid everything the other surgeons messed up and always made sure I was comfortable. I had my plates and screws removed yesterday, and I already feel my best. He is an excellent surgeon, and an excellent doctor. He was also local for me which made things a million times easier.

I researched for the best Doctor in the country for the hip surgery I was needing. I live in Florida and flew to MO. He is the best doctor for this procedure in the USA and I am VERY happy with my surgery results. He has great beside manners and I knew upon my first consult he was the doctor for me. Answered all my questions. Addressed my concerns and did a perfect job.

3 days after my total hip replacement (right side) and all I can say is wow! Days 1 & 2 were a little touch & go, but here at day three I can easily get around with a walker and am having no pain and taking no pain meds. Dr. Clohisy uses the anterior approach and does it very well, and uses the current state of the art ceramic on cross-linked polyethylene hips. I was told people come from all over the country to see him, and I can see why. Well worth the wait time to get to see him. When it comes time for my left hip I will be seeing him again.

I have nothing but positive comments about him And his staff. Truly amazing

I recently saw him for a consult. Only answered one of my questions. Did not seem interested in my hip issues. Did not tell me what he would do to correct my hip issues. Was rude and arrogant not only to me but also the attending fellow. Was 2-1/2 hours late for my appt. and did not even bother to apologize for the delay. He's obviously resting on his laurels and it's time for a wake-up call. FIND ANOTHER SURGEON.

Clohisy is a fantastic skilled, knowledgeable surgeon that doesn't sugarcoat anything. I would (and have-twice!) trust him with my life. His staff is above and beyond amazing and helpful and compassionate in ways that make up for Clohisy's dryness. The wait is long to get an appointment, generally months, and the wait is long once you get there, but that is because he spends as much time as needed with each patient answering questions and going over every piece of information about your case.

Dr Clohisy's team we're fantastic. I had surgery Jan 11th after dealing with hip pain for 11 yrs. Needless to say I have no pain even though it's only been three wks. I sleep better at night. I'm still on the road yo recovery and glad he was referred to me. Madelyn is a God send. The only negative is the long wait. It was well worth it. Thank you Dr Clohisy!!!

Dr. Clohisy is an excellent doctor. The only bad thing about his work is the long wait to get an appointment. Other than that he is fantastic.

Said he could do a procedure (PAO) if lost weight - took pain staking time of 3 months of painful increased activity and dieting to loose the weight and then rang to set up procedure waited 8 days for a return call-nurse scheduler decided to have Dr. re-review my chart and then they both decided he wouldn't do the procedure (got word through the nurse scheduler not the surgeon himself), that all of a sudden I have too much arthritis. My MRA reported subchondral cysts which is not arthritis yet. Why say you can do a surgery if weight is lost-if it isn't true? Why even mention it? Now I have to find another surgeon and it will probably take up to another 6 months before all is done with, with all the wait times with specialists. And I have no money to go traveling around the US. Also told me at the appt. difficulty from having one procedure done (PAO) and then if need a different (THR) it would be more difficult to do it (THR)-another surgeon has told me it is actually easier. Very… upset that I wasted time and money on this surgical consult with this surgeon.
