Dr. McCarter is a fantastic doctor. I highly recommend him. This was my first pregnancy and he was so good at answering my questions. I took my birth plan to him and we went through it one by one. There were things that I had heard but didn't understand and he was explain why they do what they do. And I always felt like I had a choice. He never made me feel bad. It was such a great experience with him. I will never go anywhere else.

I had my third baby with Dr McCarter. I had seen other doctors with my other kids but never found one that I really connected with until my friend suggested Dr McCarter. He was perfect for me. He always answered my questions and I felt we always could have a conversation rather than him telling me what to do. I felt well taken care of but still in control. I highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr McCarter was really nice... until I told him I wanted a natural birth and that I didn’t want to schedule an induction. I was only 30 weeks with a perfectly healthy baby/pregnancy. He wanted to schedule my induction for 40 weeks in the dot. When I said that I trusted my body/baby and didn’t want to schedule one without any reason he rolled his eyes and in a rude tone told me my baby would die before I reached 41+2 days. And then I said that next time I would bring in my birth plan for an intervention free birth HE LAUGHED. I switched to the midwives and had my baby at the same hospital... During my stay I actually overheard staff talking about how he strips women’s membranes too early and without consent thus causing problems for the mother/baby. It comes as no surprise to me that his c section rate is so high, After my experience with him and all that I know about him I am genuinely confused when I hear women rave about him. RUN!! Especially if you want a more… natural birth... but even to birth with a caring provider who isn’t more concerned with his own schedule... RUN!

Dr McCarter was my doctor for my first pregnancy. I always felt very confident in his abilities and knowledge. He is very personable and overall easy going. Occasionally it seemed like he was a little rushed at my visits, but I always felt like I could ask him all my questions. No complaints! I would recommend him and would use him again.

I had Dr. McCarter for my last pregnancy. I have never had a doctor who took the time to explain everything like he did. He told us at the first appointment that we could always ask questions and should never feel dumb for doing it. It was so comforting to know that he cared about us and would take the time to make us feel taken care of. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

He is the best Doctor ever! I would send everyone I know to him.
