Dr. John Gregory Ellis, DO

He should have seen through my xrays that both hips were needing replacement. He was always hurried with questions asked. Put Mr in a room across hall at Inland Valley who had COVID and another one screaming for help all day and night. Very rude and had very little time and concern. I had to beg for pain relief. I still feel tons of pain and can't walk. Surgery Dressing wodded up and oozed clear through, some blood. He didn't tell me he was NOT going to do a Anterior incision. Instead he did a posterior/lateral. The worst. He told me he had never done an Anterior. His office said he did. Now my muscles will take forever to heal. I am 67 years old. He had a bunch of young dirtbike riders on his walls. They heal quicker. Terrible bedside manner. Terrible aftercare. Attorney recommended.

I’VE GONE TO DR. ELLIS FOR OVER 20 YEARS. HE’S THE BEST, AND SO IS HIS STAFF. HE KEPT ME WALKING FOR TWENTY YEARS AFTER A MAJOR AUTO ACCIDENT. AND NOW HE IS TREATING ME FOR A BAD ANKLE AFTER BREAKING IT TWICE AND HAVING RA.HE IS BUSY BECAUSE HE’S THE BEST! KEEP DOING WHAT YOUR DOING!!! Connie R

Dr Ellis is by far the worst doctor I’ve ever encountered in my life. I went in as a new patient, referred by my Neurologist due to neck and spine pain. I brought the mri of my neck and, after looking at the images, he claimed there was “nothing wrong” and to just go back to the Neurologist. I was referred because there IS bone growing into my nerves affecting my arms and ability to turn my neck. He told me he’s been a doctor for thirty years and I told him I’ve been in this body for 41 and there’s definitely something wrong. I told him he didn’t even let me explain the issues I’m dealing with. I don’t understand how a person like Dr. Ellis is allowed to treat patients. Perhaps it’s time for him to retire. He did not even examine me. He was condescending and I felt violated by the way he treated me. I left in tears. The office manager gave me a card to see a different doctor in a different practice. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Going to his office is like an assembly line. He talks and you listen. He is very rude and crude. He has an ego bigger than his head!!!

I went to Dr Ellis 10 years ago when I got injured at work. I waited an hour or more to see him and then he would spend 2-3 minutes with me, each time I came. I had to talk him into giving me physica therapy. He never gave me an MRI or xray while I was being treated by him. He was being paid by my company and was told not to spend much on my care. Disgusting! He will help those with good insurance, instead. What kind of doctor is this? I later had to get a lawyer who gave me an MRI, and doctor who helped relieve some of my pain going down my leg. However, after 10 years, I still have two discs that are in lower back that cause pain when I wake up in the AM and difficult to walk at first. Perhaps if I had a better doctor who cared at the beginning, I wouldn't still be suffering. No thanks to Dr. Ellis, who took away my trust in the medical field. Find any other doctor if you really want to get the care you need.

My 18 yr old son broke his foot sking, went to ER, was told to follow up w/primary care & would need surgery once we got home. We were then referred to Dr Ellis, almost a 1 week had gone by. I brought x-rays & ER info with. As soon as he walked into the room he was rude. Every time I spoke he looked at my son & asked why was I talking. Said the foot should heal fine without surgery. Gave him a boot with crutches & told us to get another x-ray & come back in a week. Upon return he decided to cast the foot & asked us to get another xray in a week. Week 3 took the cast off, put on a boot again. I was unconfident with the diagnosis & got a second opinion & an MRI. Needless to say a month later he had surgery. We were told they were fishing for parts as several bones had been misplaced & fragments scattered. Now at Age 30 he has had 3 surgeries on the foot & has severe arthritis. (Yeah right, will heal on it's own)! NEVER EVER would I referr anyone to this RUDE, CONDESCENDING, INCOMPETENT… DOCTOR ! I have now heard other horror stories about this Dr. since and felt the need to tell my story. Trust yourself, if it doesn't feel right, it probably isnt.

Dr. Ellis is a great doctor and some might not like his bed side manner. He is busy and does not have time for visiting. My broken elbow was repaired and have not had a problem. PT is necessary with most broken bones.

I will never go back to Dr Ellis and I would definitely not recommend him. He is rude, impatient and could care less about what you have to say. I came in for my right shoulder issues and I had brought in a 2 month old MRI of my lumbar spine which was previously read by a radiologist as showing mild arthritis. Dr Ellis looked at it and told me I had severe spinal stenosis. I wasn't questioning his ability to read an MRI, but I was genuinely surprised and said so. Big mistake. You do not want to interrupt this doctor. He glared at me, told me not to speak while he was talking or I would not hear him. Well guess what Dr Ellis, maybe you should pause long enough to be respectful to your patients.

I have total faith in Dr. Ellis and his work.

I had a full hip replacement performed by Dr Ellis. He is direct and to the point. Very professional. I am recovering at a strong pace since I did not require any blood or have an infection. His staff has been very attentive and accommodating.
