Dr. John Robert Leuenberger, DO

I suffered for over a year misdiagnosed by this doctor and the other doctor at South Lewis. When this doctor couldn’t figure out what was wrong I was cast away as an anxiety case. I highly doubt a man would have been dismissed in this situation. It was a simple fix and I had to go to Utica to get help. Was truly a harrowing YEAR! Once a doctor decides you have anxiety and writes it down, any new doctor tends to follow that. I was not listened to by TWO different doctors in this office.offered all the wrong drugs and Left to figure things out on my own. They get paid. I did all the work. And they wouldn’t listen or look at my proof. To self important. A PA in Utica diagnosed it first call. Those Doctors owe me an apology.

They make you feel little and try to manipulate your questions Dr Leunberger is ok PA is a snob Office staff don't even look up when you check in or out They never answer the phone When call about concerns the answer is no They act like they don’t want you to bother them The nicest person in the whole place is the Nurse

My first opinion of the doc was a positive one, seemed thorough. Explained and listened. The longer I have been going, bloodwork isn’t looked at or other test. This is not the office you want to go to if you like a receptionist with a warm personality. Or if you like telephone calls or letters in mail with test results, trust me these Dr. offices are still out there. This is NOT one of them. To some that doesn’t matter. I don’t think he is a bad doctor, I think he may be overbooked and long weeks catch up with anyone. I strongly feel when selecting a doctor you want one on their toes.

I was very pleased with my first visit. There was little wait time, the staff was friendly, and the Dr. took time to listen and to care for my problems. I look forward to seeing him again.
