Dr. John B Rasor, DO

I have been going to Dr Rasor now for over a year. He has helped me in every aspect of my chronic pain and chronic health issues. He takes his time in the room with me each visit and always goes over his notes from our previous visits so he can follow up on past concerns. When there's new health conditions that he takes realizes he just can't fix he has no problems referring you to the right doctors to help you. When I have a concern I've emailed him on the patient portal and he's always replied back within 24 hours. Usually within 8 hrs. His staff in the front may not be to friendly but I rarely deal with them so it doesn't bother me. When I need to get in touch with him I airways use the patient portal. He has never not replied. My pain Management had been very well controlled and I couldn't be now blessed to have him taking such good Care of me. I have several health conditions and he's always on top of all them and listens to all my concerns and addresses each and every question I… have and feeds me with tons of information. Even has suggested books for me to read. I highly recommend him. He's what I like to call the old fashion doctor who spends quality time with you without rushing you through the visit.

Let me start by saying we were patients of Dr Rasor for over 15 years. We thought we were in good hands with his care for our health but sadly we were wrong. It had been increasingly difficult to get appointments with Dr. Rasor but we worked around his schedule. My husband found himself needing to make a visit which for him is rare to even want to go to a doctor. The assistant Eva I believe is her name misdiagnosed him after she analyzed his blood work. In fact she called us at home told him he had a condition, sent in a strong script and then nothing. No follow up. Nothing. Well long story short we managed to get two second opinions from other doctors but couldn't get in front of Dr. Rasor to discuss the issue. Two doctors confirmed that the diagnoses she gave us was not true. Then evidently I became blackballed because of their error. They didn't want to deal with us because they made a huge mistake in the diagnosis. We cut ties at that time and found a new office to handle our… health concerns. Now fast forward to about a year later and I am receiving a bill from his office. I have health insurance but for whatever reason their office is claiming we went to see them about a dental issue so my health insurance is not paying the claim. I have called their billing department several times and they just keep coming back and saying they would call Rasor's office and then nothing. I have left several messages on the voicemail of Dr. Rasor's office the most recent one this Wednesday trying to get it resolved and no one is calling me back to discuss this bill. They obviously want to try to 'stick to us' for having issues with their office. The ladies in the office are very cold and rude. I have dealt with the billing person for years and have considered her one of the rudest people in the healthcare industry but I dealt with her thinking that I was getting at least good care with Dr. Rasor. I know better now if a doctor will stand for that behavior then he is the same. Things haven't been the same in his office since his wife Michelle stopped handling office operations. It is unfortunate that someone who my husband and I relied on for our medical care was not there when we needed him the most. About the only thing he is good for is writing scripts that you don't need. Save yourself the trouble and keep looking for a doctor because this one is broken. I never wanted to complain publicly because I thought he still might be a caring person and maybe he just hired the wrong people. At this point I know he is aware of the issues with his office. I see that I am not the first person to bring up issues with his staff or practices. Since I can't get a response from them and they might 'stick it to me' with a bill they aren't owed (I have a $30 office co-pay that's it) then I guess they just paid themselves for an honest review. Again save your time and find another doctor.

He is super caring and extremely helpful, always on the ball when i need anything. This man will forever be my PCP. Im sure that the attitude of the people that wrote all these negative comments had nothing to do with their experience. people often treat you the way you treat them. Seriously, this Doc is amazing!

Dr. Rasor prescribed a cocktail of psychiatric drugs to me, that caused a life threatening reaction. When I had to call him one night, that was weeks after being in the hospital, he was very rude and uncaring towards my health issues, and scolded me for an issue that he created with the cocktail of prescriptions that he prescribed. I'd say he has a Dr. Jekyll and Hyde personality, because I hadn't seen this behavior in him before.

Dr razor is kind compassionate smart and he does everything he can to help you he's a very good doctor who cares

Dr Rasor is a good doctor but since they moved offices his front office staff is terrible.

Very disappointed and disturbing; I am unable to reach the doctor or staff, calls go unanswered voice mail ignored as well as email requests for my records!! Next step an attorney?

He takes his time and never rushes. He is extremely intelligent and discusses why things are done and latest studies on different conditions. He explains why things can happen and what types of issues are out there that you may need to be aware of. He is excellent.

Takes his time with you. Always reviews your history to make sure everything is going well. He is proactive with your health plan.

Dr. Rasor takes the time to explain all issues and concerns. He always takes your health as his top priority like you were his only patient.
