Dr. John Robert Swicegood, MD

I was referred to Dr. Swicegood by my Primary Doctor. I have had 8 knee surgeries because the first one was put in wrong. He told me during my initial that he would do a procedure by going in my 3rd or 4th vertebrae and do a nerve block and do a light sedation. When I got there he had me lay on my stomach and they gave me what I thought was supposed to be a light sedation. I couldn't see anything and he wasn't telling me what he was doing. I don't like being in the dark. When he started the procedure my leg started jumping and it wouldn't stop. I got upset and started crying and he got in my face and told me to stop crying because he told me what was going to happen before he started and he didn't. After the procedure my daughter came back and told us that I needed to go and talk with someone. I have had 8 knee surgeries and nothing has helped with the pain. The last thing I need is for someone to think that I am not in my right mind.

Dr. Swicegood is the most concerned and compassionate Dr I have ever visited. I have had degenerative issues for a very long time and injections at his office allow me mobility without as much pain that would otherwise be impossible. His staff is likewise very caring. Your freedom from pain is his primary concern.

I wonder if doctors had a decade long problem with chronic pain I'll bet they would be more compassionate

I saw Dr Swicegood when I had a severe injury to my back.other doctors said it would take surgery to get out of pain but Dr Swicegood agreed that we should try .shots first and I'm glad he did. It has been very successful

Dr. Swicegood is one of the few Doctors left that actually care about his patients. His staff is kind and concerned and even better they are nice people.

Very Poor. The first time I went in they tried to give me a shot without seeing my mri . I made another Appointment a month later. From the time I check in till I was taken back to a room three minutes. She was getting me ready for a shot no questions asked , When I told the nurse I wanted to go over the meds I was on to make sure I was safe for the shots . She inform me they do not dispense drugs or write prescriptions and still had not seen mri, my primary doctor had just changed some of medicine last week.im am a diabetic ,take blood thinners ,and her concern is they dispense or write prescriptions. I got up and walk out I called back later on that day just to see what the deal was and the nurse was very kind and understanding . I inform her of the situation and she first ask if I could come back in that day , I was unable to due to work , she told me she would talk to the doctor and call me . She called back and had talk to doc and said there was nothing there office could do . I… called another clinic within a hour I had a appointment two days later and the doctor made a personal call to me and explain he would go over the mri and told me what medications I need to stop before coming in and to bring a mri disk. IM a 58 year old business man clean cut never once ask for any drugs. And my pills are mange by another doctor . There are other alternatives beside these shots and you do risk being paralyzed by these.These shots charged back to your insurance company run 600.00 to 2500.00 per appointment . I think at that price this office should take some time to consult there patients . I read there first reviews on this web page it was all about how quick they were at getting you in 600 and 2500 hundred a pop I would be quick to
