Dr. John Tuggey Miller, MD

I’ve had the worst experience with this company. Dr Miller did a procedure for me in 2008 where I was told I had malignant cancer cells in my colon and had a right hemi collectomy (I’m not in the medical field so the spelling may be off). After about 9 years I went back to his office and was told I should have a colonoscopy because I had the same symptoms as before. I had been told by one doctor I should and another it was not necessary. As a single mother I was terrified of my symptoms I’d had for the past few years. The thought of my child being parentless terrified me. After my last doctor visit I sat down with someone in billing and was told I never had cancer. I was so confused. I struggled keeping up with the bills I was receiving with IHC, radiology, and the doctor. I started to make payments on one account since I knew I couldn’t afford them all at once. Later finding out because of the way the Colonoscopy was coded my insurance was not going to cover it as I had planned. I was… never told of any financial help in their office until today. My account was quickly sent to collections where my an even bigger nightmare began. I have tried to make payment arrangements several times with the owner of the company mocking my efforts, yelling at me, hanging up on me several times, and completely making me feel as if my personal worth was nothing. I decided to call the doctors office to see if there was anything that they could do to help me and go over why it was not covered by the insurance and I still do not understand how if I am 100% going to get a colonoscopy to make sure I will be alive for my daughter that would not be preventative for my insurance to cover. I asked o make an appointment with the Dr. Miller again dueci rectal bleeding that has continued for over a year now and was old until I made a payment on my account I could not see the doctor. Well... that’s all I’ve been wanting to do but I can’t when people won’t work with me and keep hanging up on me. Is it really too much to ask to get help to make sure I don’t have Colon Cancer? I hate seeing doctors and very rarely go but at this point I don’t even know if I did or didn’t have cancer before. I was deffinately told something was malignant as my husband at that point was with me. So either the Doctor lied or the lady in the office didn’t know what she was talking about. I guess the point is if you think you need a colonoscopy to check for cancer after years of rectal bleeding you may just get taken for thousands of dollars you may or may not have but as a single mother in a very limited income I guess having that peace of mind wasn’t an option.

Had a triple hernia operation and was walking and worked about an hour on my feet the next day. It has been a week and I feel great. Would recommend him to everyone.
