Dr. John Arthur Welshofer, MD

Wonderful experience , very caring and listen to my concerns .

Dr. Welshofer is an awesome doctor. He listens and takes his time to explain everything in a manner which is very understandable. Each visit has been great. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Welshofer is extremely knowledgeable and very direct, provided his opinion on doctors in the area and the treatment options available at this time. He recognized that I was long overdue for further testing to provide a better understanding of what is happening. I am looking forward to the results which may not be the cure but hopefully will provide some answers which could offer some emotional relief; physical relief would be preferable and greatly appreciated. With that being said, he needs to work on his soft skills. For example, he never asked me about my full medical history and relied on the notes of a doctor who took a pre-existing condition and made it ten times worse and who portrayed me in his notes as someone who was just looking for pain meds and time off work. If Dr. Welshofer had taken the time to ask about my pre-existing condition which was pharmaceutically induced by another doctor (and mishandled by three other "specialists" thereafter), then he would have… understood the tears in my eyes that were quickly dismissed because he's a "tell it how it is kind of guy" which at another time would have been well received because I'm not one to get easily triggered. My health journey is four years long and counting, so yes, I cried because I am tired and fed up with being let down. I know it is necessary these days for liability purposes, but I did find it embarrassing that he needed to have a male staffer in the room during our consultation who didn't assist with my evaluation. NOTHING AGAINST Dr. Welshofer or the staffer (it would not have mattered if they were male of female) and I AM NOT IMPLYING ANYTHING AT ALL, simply making an observation and describing my visit and experience. I understand it from a legal aspect and as a woman of color...I just did not feel like having an audience of two instead of one when I began to cry. As a woman, I did not feel unsafe at any moment nor expect to in the future. As to be expected today with doctors in this area, you are not talked WITH but simply talked TO (all people need to be refreshed on the difference nowadays) and preferably to keep your questions at a minimum for their precious time and your lack of medical training. I was hoping he would be the exception to what appears to be the standard now. Note: Sorry if this offends him or anyone but my opinion was requested on how my visit went. Don't ask questions if you don't want to hear the answers because I'm a "tell it like it is" kinda gal.

My first visit with Dr. Welshofer went extremely well. He is very personable and knowledgeable and exactly what kind of a doctor I want. All his office staff were very pleasant also.

I highly recommend Dr. Welshofer. He genuinely listened to my concerns, asked insightful questions, and took a real interest in helping me address my issues. His approach made it easy to talk to him, and his intelligence and professionalism were evident. I received excellent medical advice while feeling like I was conversing with a close friend.

On my first viisit i was very impressed with Dr Welshofer. He was very thorough w ith my exam and my care plan. I am Receiving therapy . Ii highly recommend him.

John is the best doctor I have ever seen, he listens and is very knowledgeable and compassionate. He truly cares about his patients. Thank you John for everything.

Dr. Welshofer is an excellent doctor, great humanitarian, very knowledgeable and skilled professional and most importantly you get to establish a connection with the Doctor. Highly recommended.

He was very friendly, made it easy to talk to, wanted details of where my problems were.Afterwards had a detailed plan to help me with my condition.

He is direct, addressed the issues, and gives you possible solutions. He is very easy to talk with, and listens!
