Dr. Jose Luis Joy, MD

Fui operado por el Dr Joy en el ano 2017 de 2 Hernias Discales y quede muy bien y el trato fue exelente.

I had been in pain, every night I had to get of bed 2 or 3 times in pain with cramps, for to long, untill I met Dr Joy and it was like a miracle, after surgery that took over 9 hours I have feel any cramps at all after a month and a half of postoperation. I do have to be gratefull to Dr Joy and his team wich are the best around. I also have to mention the nurse Donna (RN) that was my guardian angel(shift 7pm to 7am)That was incredible taken care of me.. I really Appeciated her hard work and I will always be gratefull of her care.

He was very clear in answering my questions and concerns and recommended me to have the Lumbar Laminectomy And Fusion (L3-L4 and L4-L5) procedure at Baptist Hospital in Miami. Terrible service. Office has cancelled twice my appointments and do not even bother to call back to re-schedule. I have been in pain and this terrible customer service made me decide to look for another neurosurgeon that Is more considerate with patients. Staff is very rude. Old fashion office. They do not accept debit or credit card payments. Only cash or checks are accepted.

Dr Joy is a great doctor. Explains everything to you and makes reasonable suggestions. His staff really needs to be looked at. The receptionist (younger, chubbby female) is just rude and nasty both on the phone and in person. The older female doesn't seem to understand what she's doing or doesn't care. She constantly makes mistakes in taking directions from he doctor which I witnessed firsthand. I love this doctor but am done dealing with his incompetent staff. Looking elsewhere.

I had cervical surgery with fusion the plate broke .I had to have another surgery to wire the broken titanium plate together.Although I Was not paralised by either of these surgery's I do live in constant pain which effects my whole body.Maybe cadaver bone shouldn't be used for patients .Wish I had an option for harvesting my own bone like I did my lumbar surgery.

Dr Joy is one of the very few doctors that will always bring hope to thiis world. After a very high risk surgery, I will never hesitate to place myself in doctor Joy's hands. God bless him.
