Dr. Josee J Arcand, MD

I started with my Medicare plan in 2015 and needed a Primary. Knowing that a lot of doctors don't even want any more Medicare patients, I started at the top of the list I was given by my Plan and just hoped I'd find a doctor. As it turned out, because alphabetically Dr. Arcand was first on the list, I called her first. Best thing I ever did, because when you see Dr. Arcand, it's more like sitting down with your best friend who also happens to be an incredible doctor. She is empathetic, caring, knowledgeable, and if you need a specialist...well, when I needed a hip replacement, she sent me to the doctor she would have chosen for herself. You can't get any better than that!

I've been seeing Dr. Arcand for the past 3 years now and every visit with her has been great. She listens to what is going on and takes the time to treat me. Her office staff is also very nice and welcoming, they always get back to me usually within an hour or so, but at least within a day, other offices I've been to before don't call back for days, if you get a call back at all!

I love Dr. Arcand and her staff. I've been coming to her for years and couldn't imagine a better family doctor. Caring, listens, courteous. I work in a specialist office and know you can't please everyone. You can't call a doctor and schedule an appointment without being asked what your coming in for.(no brainer) Especially if your a new patient. I love my doctor, and that's all that matters to me.

I saw this doctor on a monthly basis for more than a year to manage several medical conditions. I was discharged suddenly because of one and only time I needed to call after hours which was right after business hours at about 6 PM, and was called back by her from her home. I had been in need of an important prescription for breathing for several weeks and this had come at a critical time when I developed a heart condition which later required surgical intervention and was also exacerbated by the stress of being suddenly without primary care. Was just rudely and plainly told if you're not satisfied with the care then go elsewhere. The day after next I received a letter stating I was discharged. When I tried to call to at least see if they could finish calling in my normal monthly prescriptions I was told by her husband and assistant that you're discharged, and well now what does that mean to you? So I had to quickly find healthcare pretty much on the spot to continue getting… medicine that was very necessary. I should also state that the doctor I found was stunned to find out the poor quality of Dr Arcand. Stated to me a condition I obviously had which was very severe sleep apnea and needed attention could be fatal, and disagreed with Dr Arcand when she plainly told me sleep apnea is not fatal! So I would stay far away from Dr Arcand. She is clearly in business only to make money and does not care about her patients.

I called this office to make an appointment to see Dr. Arcand after being referred by one of her patients. While giving my personal and insurance information to Chris Arcand over the phone, he became very rude and started asking me detailed questions about my medical problems. When i politely replied that i would feel more comfortable discussing wth a MD,he told me i was looking for methadone. I was so offended by his attitudes and accusations, I started crying on the phone. He told me to go somewhere else. Can you imagine? I am a local attorney and mother of two. I was in no way looking for any kind of controlled substance. I was hoping to get a physical and blood work done. I certainly would never recommend this doctor to anyone!

My family and I have been going to Dr. Arcand for a long time. She is always very friendly and seems to be knowledgeable. She spends adequate time with me and Im always able to get in for an appointment, but I have some complaints. If you have a simple question that doesnt require an appointment for example about your medication and you call to speak to the doctor, be expected to be told by the medical assistants that she wont return your calls. You will have to make an appointment"--a way for her to charge you for an appointment! Also, some of the medical assistants can be rude at times. I think Im going to start looking for another doctor.

Very nice doctor, the best I ever had.

best doctor I have ever been to. very careing, listens. I would and have recommended her to anyone looking for a family doctor.
