Dr. Joseph W Purcell, DO

He is a great doctor and listener. He is very knowledgeable, he takes his time He explains everything if you don't understand. You feel like he understands what you are going through. I would highly recommend him.

Not recommending

Hands down, the best doctor I have ever had! He listens, takes notes and is very accurate and clear about his diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Purcell cares about his patients and their well being. He is empathetic to how stressful it can be to deal with long term medical issues or just the daily stress that can be caused by a common illness. He also has an amazing staff who do their very best to keep up with the enormous amount of patient files and phone calls they manage and receive everyday. I also have to give a special mention for his nurse, Pat, who is very friendly, caring and always shares a smile with you. She is very attentive and makes sure all of your vitals and medical information is accurate and up to date. Sometimes you have to wait to see Dr. Purcell but that is because of his personable and caring nature and his ability to show patience with his patients and not treat them like a number at the deli counter. You will always get the best treatment both medically and… personally with Dr. Purcell. If you are looking for a new doctor, I highly recommend Dr. Purcell at Skylands Medical.

Well worth the wait!

Dear future patients, One of my personal mottos in life is to give credit where credit is deserved. Therefore, I would like to take a minute to give credit to Dr. Purcell from Skylandâ??s Medical Group in Landing, NJ. My husband and I have seen Dr. Purcell for several years now and are so lucky to have found such a wonderful doctor in our area. I personally love that Dr. Purcell takes the extra time with his patients and is so thorough in his explanations of the diagnosis. Not only is he thorough in his explanations, he also is a good listener and respects what the patient has to say first. Simply said, my husband and I both agree that Dr. Purcell is oh so friendly, personable and easy to talk to. I trust his professional opinion and highly recommend him to any future patients. :)

I have been going to Dr. Purcell for well over 12 years. His soft-spoken manner, smile and his genuineness for his patients is noteworthy. You are not just a "number" but a respected individual with healthcare problems. At times I objected to the suggested treatment or medication but he graciously explains the need for it and together we come to an understanding on my treatment. If you want a doctor who truly listens then Dr. Purcell is for you.

My son had been sick for over four weeks and had been to three other doctors before my friend recommended I bring him to Dr Purcell. I was impressed by the time he spent with us asking questions and reviewing all the information. I thought my son had lymes disease but the other doctors said he didn't because his lymes tests were all normal. Dr Purcell found that he had another tick bite disease called babeousis that looks exactly like lymes. He gave him the right antibiotics and now he's better. If it hadn't been for Dr Purcell my son would still be sick! Thank you Dr Purcell!

Dr. Purcell is the best! But the women at the front make patients feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable!! I have felt it as have other's I've spoken to.

what a greaat caring doctor but office staff and waiting time is a big turn off!! just ask anyone in town. I have waited over an hour on several occasions.
