I am a 64-year-old male who wore prescription glasses for over 50 years and was extremely squeamish about anything involving my eyes. When my vision began declining—long morning focus times, severe halos at night, and difficulty driving—I was referred by Dr. Garcia at Carolina Eye Doctors to Dr. Rheinbolt for cataract surgery. My initial reaction was, “No way!” From my first visit, Dr. Rheinbolt took the time to thoroughly explain the process, especially addressing my fear of being “awake” during surgery. He explained the anesthesia clearly and reassuringly—and he was absolutely right. The procedure was quick, painless, and far easier than I ever imagined. I appreciated the clear, no-pressure explanation of lens options and chose the upgraded lenses for both eyes. I’m extremely glad I did. Between surgeries, I could directly compare my corrected eye to the uncorrected one—the difference was shocking. The repaired eye was bright, crisp, and vivid, while the other looked yellow and… hazy. Both surgeries were identical in their professionalism and efficiency. The entire team—from pre-op through recovery—was calm, organized, and comforting. I also appreciated the excellent coordination between Dr. Rheinbolt’s office and Dr. Garcia’s team, which made the entire process smooth and reassuring. Within hours I noticed dramatically brighter vision, and clarity continued to improve quickly. I’m still completing final healing, but my vision is already totally amazing. I no longer need prescription glasses, bought my first real pair of sunglasses ever, and yes—I even told my wife of 45 years that she looks 10 years younger! I recommend Dr. Rheinbolt and his entire team at Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat Associates, P.A. without hesitation. If you have cataracts at any stage, my advice is simple: don’t wait. The sooner you do this, the longer you get to see the world crisp, clear, and vivid.

Dr. Joshua Rheinbolt is an excellent cataract laser eye surgeon. The entire office makes you feel comfortable and provides all the information you need. The day I had my surgery a woman couldn't stop crying before the surgery because she was afraid. After the surgery she was laughing and apologizing for crying. My outpatient eye surgery has greatly improved my quality of life. Reading has become a joy again. Thanks Dr. Rheinbolt!

Just finished cataract surgery on the second eye. Both returned to 20/20 from 80/20 and 70/20. Painless, quick surgery and Dr. Rheinbolt was excellent in description of process and followup visits.

Recently I had cataract surgery on both eyes and with lens implants. This patient was scared to death as I have never had a surgery, broke bone, or even a stitch! All I can say is that this doctor and his staff were the finest and now I see at 20/20. I want others to know that this doctor is the best!!!!
