Dr. Shillingford is an excellent Surgeon. He is compassionate, empathetic and has concern for the comfort and well-being of his patients and he has demonstrated that in caring for me. Dr. Shillingford and his medical team: Susan Peacock Registered Dietitian has helped me to implement a new healthy way of eating and how to read nutritional information on different foods before and after my Surgery and until now, almost 3 years later to get my necessary daily macronutrients, even sharing healthy recipes too. Dr. Shillingford and his staff are truly amazing. Michelle, Nancy, and Elba in the office are wonderful and will answer any question you may have and if they do not know, they will find out so you do know. Dr. Shillingford does amazing work! He is straight forward and does not sugar coat which in my book equals accountability- What we all NEED going into this! I could not have picked a better team! My One Piece of advice: Do your research, follow Dr. Shillingford's advice and plan, and Understand this is a tool and you will come out just fine! "Happy Losing"

Went to his office for initial weight loss surgery consultation. Answered all my questions, making me comfortable enough to have his office staff check with my insurance for coverage. I received a 1 page document with the requirements from the insurance company, before they would approve my gastric sleeve surgery. Completed requirements and 6 months later had my surgery. Post op 18 months and I've lost a total of 105 lbs. with 10 lbs. to go to my personal goal. Great follow-up by Dr. Shillingford. Awesome guidance along the way. Great overall experience. I only wish I'd done it sooner. Best results, even better than I imagined. Thank you Dr. Shillingford and staff, you are truly lifesavers!

September 12, 2017 is a day that I will never forget. Its the day that I decided to take control of my life. I was taking two blood pressure medications, one in the morning, and one at night. I went to my primary care physician and he told me that my blood sugar levels were elevated and that I would have to start taking diabetic pills. That's when I said enough is enough. I had to take control of my life. I came to visit Dr. Shillingford in June 2017. I found out about this great Doctor through a coworker, and let's just say the rest is history. Dr. Shillingford performed the vertical sleeve gastrectomy procedure on me September 12, 2017 and my life hasn't been the same since! My surgery weight was 299lb. My current weight is 223lb. Im no longer in any blood pressure medications. My lab work came back great! Im on NO MEDICATIONS AT ALL ANYMORE besides my B12 shot and Urosodol! I owe everything to Dr. Shillingford and his professional staff. Dr. Shillingford is patient, kind, and has… a great bedside mannerism. I recommend him to everyone. Thank you Doc for saving my life!

I found dr. Shillingford through an online search after I had seen other doctors. I's so glad I found him!!! His office staff (Nancy and Elba) are very thorough, helpful and always get back to you as soon as they can. They answered all my questions and scheduling was a breeze! Dr. Shillingford is the nicest doctor I've ever met. He's been very patient and helpful. I had my surgery less than a month ago and already lost more than 30lbs! I wish I had done this sooner.

I found Dr. Shillingford online through a Google search. To my surprise a close friend had just gone to him for Gastric Sleeve surgery 8 months ago. After hearing all of her postive feedback and recommendation, I went in for a consult. Dr and staff are friendly and make you feel comfortable. Dr took his time answered all of my questions and was very nice. Nancy, Luisa and Barbara are helping me get paperwork together for insurance and have been amazingly helpful. I can't wait to get my procedure done!
