Karin Knapp, MD

Karin Knapp, MD, came to Boulder Medical Center in 2008 after alternating between Colorado and California in pursuit of her extensive medical training. After growing up in Denver, she enrolled in the University of California San Diego to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology, and thoroughly enjoyed the beaches and ultimate frisbee. Although she loved the West Coast, Dr. Knapp missed her family and Rocky Mountains. She returned home to attend the University of Colorado School of Medicine. After medical school, she served her pediatrics residency at the University of California Los Angeles for her residency. While there, she was joined by Eric, her soon-to-be husband. Together, they decided to settle in Colorado. 'We knew we would eventually come back for friends, family, and the ability to move forward on the highway,' she explains.
