Dr. Karina Irizarry, MD

Horrible experience with this doctor and the office. When talking to her she made us feel as if she had better things to do. She cut my daughter off when trying to explain what was wrong. Office manager was unprofessional and lied to us. Choose another office if you need a GI doctor for your child.

Although my appt with the doctor was ok…some of the staff are awful - they have no idea of how to treat patients with respect. One staff member rolled her eyes at me with attitude when trying to book a followup appointment.

The doctor is fine if you have a high tolerance for a lot of mistakes . Her knowledge of celiac disease is limited. The office staff is atrocious. Dr irizarry and her staff repeatedly ordered the wrong labs and were so incredibly unhelpful in resolving their mistake, bordering unethical. Go somewhere else, even if more inconvenient.

My daughter has issues with her stomach and digestive system since she was born. We have been to several doctors, none being able to figure out what the issue is. One Dr had her gallbladder removed because it was working less than 4% in May of 2019. A few months later the problems started again. After moving back to FL from KY, we finally have insurance and was referred to Dr Irizarry. On our first appt, she seemed so concerned and caring and jumped right on into getting tests done and looking internally with a scope. Havent got results yet but she guaranteed to figure the problem out and fix my daughter. The office staff is friendly for the most part, Amber is the best I gota say. Dr Irizarry is on it and determined to fix my daughter. I am so glad we found her so far! Thanks for everything already and in the future!

AWFUL patient care. Refusing to see my daughter because she turned 17. She has Crohn's and has been a patient of theirs for years. They have refused medically necessary care. Office staff does not perform. They do not make notes and scheduling is a nightmare. Prescriptions are not called in for infusions in a timely manner. They do not notate rescheduled appointments. AVOID THIS PRACTICE. Dr Kaiser and Renae are the only worth anything here.

Dr. Irizarry did not honor my child’s appointment. After waiting more than one hour and twenty minutes, they sent in a nurse practitioner. My child never saw the doctor, but I still had to pay the specialist Co pay to the doctor’s office to see her NP, and if we had been no-shows we would have been charged. This was the second time we went and waited more than 1 hour. They seem to not allow enough time between appointments.

The front staff could have more phone ethic when it come talking to concern parents and courtesy in the matter. The providers are awesome!!

Great doctor! She is very caring and good at taking extra time. We never feel rushed out of office. Communicates well with both child & parent. We see this doctor VERY FREQUENTLY (unfortunatly) in her Brandon location, and the office is all very friendly and ost of the time, there is little wait time. She is GOOD, so sometimes last minute appointments are hard to get in.

Dr Irizarry is pleasant. The staff at the office treats parents as through they are idiots. They take forever to follow up on a phone call/message and are just not very nice!

Dr. Irizarry is the BEST! She is so sweet and makes my daughter feel super comfortable. She is always open to discussing problems and never makes you feel like she is rushing..
