Dr. Katarina Allman, MD

The office staff are rude and uncaring. Dr. Allman provides decent health care, but appears to have a lack of capability to surround herself with competent staff. They are almost impossible to reach and when you do, don't call in prescriptions when needed. The last straw was when I showed up for an appointment 15 minutes late, they said I would have to reschedule and pay a missed appointment fee. There are too many doctors out there that are capable of hiring decent staff. Adios.

We are fond of Dr. Allman and had her for 4.5 yrs. Three weeks ago we had our final appt in person rather than telemed so we could say goodbye. More than once we arrived to appts only to find they were closed. The last straw was the phone ringing as we pulled into the parking lot for fasting blood draw. We were told the phlebotomist was out and the bldg was closed. We drove 20 miles through work traffic to arrive by 745. Unbelievable. Later the receptionist argued with me when I tried to reschedule the appt to see Dr. ALLMAN after the rescheduled blood draw. On our way out of our final appt, I told her she was one of the reasons we were leaving a doctor we were fond of. The office manager called me later to follow up because we'd told Dr. Allman we'd had enough negative experiences with staff members over the years. Tiffany, the office manager thanked me and said there were other incidents with this particular person and they would try to retrain her. Good luck. Good manners should… come easily to an adult representing an office. We will miss Dr. Allman but found another doctor 15 minutes away with a professional staff.

Very, very rude staff. Got a call this morning from Dr. Allman’s nurse’s assistant Kerreca, telling me that Dr. Allman was not going to refill 2 of my medications anymore and that I needed to see a specialist to get them started again. Dr. Allman’s nurse practitioner is the one that prescribed them to me. Kerreca goes on to explain that the nurse practitioner that prescribed them to me is no longer there and I need to get a specialist to prescribe that medication now. I’ve been getting those meds from her office for over a year now. It would’ve been better if the Doctor, which I’ve only seen once or twice on a telemed call, would’ve called and talked with me about it. When I advised Kerreca to have someone go through my list of meds and let me know which medications that the previous nurse practitioner prescribed, was not going to be filled by Dr. Allman’s, she got an attitude and didn’t want to hear my side, so she put me on hold for approximately 10 minutes. REALLY?? A couple… of months ago Dr. Allman supposedly said that I needed to get a particular medication refilled by the person who originally prescribed it. I advised her that they were prescribed by my previous doctor, which I no longer see. Long story short, I no longer take those meds. Still trying to figure that one out. I guess I need to go back to my old doctor to get those meds and also keep seeing her???? When I first went to Dr. Allman, my meds should’ve been determined then. Instead, she refilled them for almost a year. This office is not what I thought it would be. Smh!!! Didn’t want to give this office a 1 star, but it wouldn’t let me post until I did. Wow!!! 0 stars until I hear back from the doctor.

Staff is rude and Dr. Allman seems to demand frequent visits from her patients.

Dr. Allman is very good. I like her. However, we have been with her for 4 years. No longer. Their office staff is not friendly. Their incompetence cost us several hundred dollars last year. They would schedule specialist visits, then not send the paperwork in so it would be filed correctly with insurance. Then, they wouldn't make it right. We had to fight Blue Cross Blue Shield to get retroactive payments, but still lost with no help from the people who caused these problems. My last visit there I was there to give blood. I waited an hour past my appointment time to go sit another 30 minutes before finding out they had me in for the follow up visit not the blood work. What a waste of time and confusion from the staff there. We couldn't take it anymore. The cost of money and time was not worth it to us. Today, when I was turning in our paperwork to get our medical files released to our new provided, I asked the woman at the front desk where the papers needed to go. She… shrugged and was very apathetic, not wanting to help. She called the woman behind her to come over since she was in charge of that stuff. I asked the woman to please please please get these files in in a timely manner. She got visibly frustrated and after informing me that she just started the job last week and would get to my paperwork after the other couple hundreds in front of me, she abruptly turned her back to me. I was shocked, but shouldn't have been. This is why we are leaving. Please know what you are getting into if you come here. You never know if they will pick up the phone, when they will move buildings, or when they will reschedule your appointments. They need some help.

Had appointment and tests done, then had to pay at follow up appointment $178 a week later or they wouldn't see me. Never had to do that when my BCBS insurance hasn't even had time to pay?? Apparently they do this often and people have issues getting their $ refunded. I won't go back. Office staff at check out is rude and not knowledgable about pending insurance. Also Dr. Allman had the nurse do an EKG. Nurse came back in and said there was an abnormality and I was being referred to a cardiologist. Dr never dame back in to explain so I was left worrying for weeks. Poor bedside manner.

I went to get lab work done and the office was closed. I called the office telephone number and found out Dr. Allman had moved her office without informing her patients of the move. I find this behavior unacceptable in a family doctor. I plan to change doctors ASAP.

While her care is satisfactory, She cannot run an efficient office operation. Patients are not seen at or near appointment time. Wait times off 30 minutes to two hours are fairly common.

The doctor and nurse practitioner are fantastic, the office staff is the entire problem. No one working in the office has any idea how to complete paperwork in a timely or accurate manner. Zero customer service skills, I would not recommend this practice to anyone.

Have seen both Dr. Allman and her nurse practitioner. Both seemed very concerned with my medical conditions. Wait can be a little long but otherwise I am very happy with the care I receive.
