Dr. Katayoun Y Motlagh, MD

I had a pretty good experience with Dr.Motlagh. It was my first time coming in for this kind of treatment, so I had a few questions and wasn’t totally sure what to expect. The consultation helped a lot because they explained the process, the pricing, and what I should expect afterward. The staff was friendly and professional, but not over the top, which I appreciated. The place was clean and the appointment went smoothly. Overall, I’m happy with how everything went and would recommend them to someone looking into similar services.

It's taking me a while to write this review as I really liked Dr. Motlagh at first. Unfortunately I will never be able to go back to her again as she negligibly misdiagnosed a miscarriage placing me in the most emotionally distraught place of my life. My husband and I had been trying for quite sometime to get pregnant. I went in for chronic UTIs around 6 weeks not wanting the infection to affect my baby. I was given antibiotics and sent to get an ultrasound and came back a week later for review. I left my husband in the waiting room not expecting what would come next. She briefly looked over the ultrasound and told me my pregnancy was not normal and I needed to consider d&c (7 weeks pregnant mind you). As I started to get emotional, her form of comfort was to tell me I did not want to be a mom anyways as it takes a lot of work and time. After sending me over to the lab for blood work, my husband and I spent the week mourning the loss of our unborn child and telling family the sad news… that we were pregnant but we're more than likely losing the child (not the way I wanted to announce what should have been happy news). A week later, we get a call, not from her! But from her nurse practitioner saying they might have been wrong based on the blood work. Needless to say, they were 100% wrong as I now have a healthy and happy 3 month old baby that is the biggest blessing I could have asked for. I am honored to be his mom! All in all, I cannot recommend this doctor to anyone as her negligence could have led to the death of my beautiful son, and her bedside manner was atrocious in the midst of incredibly hard news to bear.

Very efficient and compassionate

Dr. Motlagh has her own practice now & isnt affilaited w Garrison clinic anymore. I think alot of the negative reviews in the past are more of a reflection on the Garrison clinic and the pressure on Drs / PA's to see too many patients and recommend too many tests! A LOT of Drs/PA's & staff have moved on. Dr. Motlagh is a very caring / thorough person and so are her staff....she now sees all of my friends / family!

I Love everything about this office. Great staff all around and a excellent Dr. Who is also caring and cares about her patients. I was lucky to have found someone with her character.

I am a 67 year old female. Dr. Motlagh is the best Dr. I have ever been. She takes time and care with you. Too notch would be hard to find better.

I have seen dr motlagh exactly 2x and that is 2x too many. I will never go back to garrison medical in the fear that i will get her! I am a healthy young woman. And dr motlagh loves to find the one teeny tinny thing that is wrong with you. The first time i visited dr m, she sent me for an ultrasound, mri, ultrasound, cat scan, blood work, in that order....i could have avoided all of that if she just done a urine pregnancy test or did the blood work first, it turned out i was pregnant, and I'm pretty sure the radiation from mri and cat scan insured that i had a miscarriage. This last time i go in for a cold and she made me get blood work for my thyroid even though i told her it was fine! The results came in and she refused to give them over the phone, making me think that maybe something was wrong after all, nope my thyroid is fine she just wanted me to come in and have to pay another co-pay for her to tell me that it all looks good!!! Never again!

I went to AV urgent care and unfortunately seen Dr. Motlagh. This is the second time I have seen her and felt like i should get a second opinion immediately afterward. She immediately made me feel rushed and asked no questions, just handed me some paperwork to get blood done. I am not a sickly person and do not go to ER unless I am really in need. I have been a patien with Dr. G for many years and this woman does not reflect the kind of service I am used to getting. I highly dissapointed and feel llike i wasted a co-pay to be seen by her. Next time I think I will just fo to the hosapital ER, at least they have some kuind of decent bed side manner.
