Dr. Katherine Mary Fening, MD

Dr. Katherine Fening is a dermatologist and dermatopathologist who brings 16 years of experience to her practice. She earned her medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine & Public Health, where she developed her expertise in diagnosing and treating skin conditions. Her dual specialization allows her to both examine patients clinically and analyze tissue samples under the microscope to provide precise diagnoses. Dr. Fening communicates with patients in French and Spanish in addition to English.

Dr. Fening practices at Village Dermatology in Mountain Brook, Alabama, and maintains an affiliation with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center East Campus. She treats various skin conditions including moles, skin cancer, and precancerous lesions. Her pathology expertise enables her to perform detailed tissue analysis and surgical pathology examinations.
