My 89 yr old mother began to have issues with suspected mini strokes. She was diagnosed with Aortic Stenosis and was referred to Dr. Korver. He spent a great deal of time interviewing her, taking her from her childhood to present time. After he finished, he told her she did not have much time left on this earth unless she had a new aortic valve, and the sooner the better. I asked about her chances and he said they were very good, and with a new valve she should easily see 96! I checked out his credentials when I got home and I was embarrassed I asked him so many questions. Mom had her successful open heart surgery within two weeks at the old Santa Rosa Memorial, and had an uneventful recovery. She just celebrated her 96th birthday and you will not find a more caring, and better heart surgeon than Dr. Korver!

I was not his patient but my husband was. He is without a doubt the most thorough doctor I have ever been around. He is extremely intelligent, he is kind and compassionate, he treats you as family, has the best bedside manner and is just a wonderful person and doctor. If I ever need heart surgery I would not even consider going to anyone else. He loves what he does and truly cares about his patients.

I've been around MDs most of my 78 years and have never met one as (there's no other word for it) nice as Dr. Korver, beneath whose skilled hands I underwent open-heart surgery.
