Dr. Kelly Alexis Hughes

Kelly Hughes, D.O FAAP joined Bethesda Pediatrics in May 2010. A graduate of the St. Joseph%u2019s Hospital Residency Program, she was also a Staff Pediatrician at an established Central Phoenix pediatric clinic prior to joining Bethesda Pediatrics. She is a board-certified Pediatrician who is also a bilingual %u201Cin-training%u201D . Born in Phoenix but was raised in Southern California, where she got her medical degree at Western University of Health Sciences. She returned %u201Chome%u201D for her pediatric residency at St. Joe%u2019s Hospital, in Phoenix. As a D.O. she has been trained in all the traditional practices of medicine with the addition of 200+ hours of hands on manipulation of muscles and bones for diagnosis and treatment. Her patients appreciate the added attention to preventing future illnesses and injuries. She believes that the biggest impact we can have on our world is to equip parents with the tools they need to raise healthy, happy and productive children. Dr. …Hughes recently became a mother to a little boy named Hunter on January 2010 and she is quickly learning the practical application to all of her medical training. In her free time Dr. Hughes loves to travel the world, cook, camp, hike, swim and just spending time with her family.
