I wouldn’t recommend this place. I was scheduled for a full skin exam with Dr. Spoonemore, but basically just had a couple minor skin tags removed and then was rushed out - the skin exam didn’t even take place. I strongly recommend Northwest Skin Specialists as an alternative based on my experience at both. They are more thorough, knowledgeable and did a better job listening and addressing my concerns

After 10 years of having biopsy's and skin cancer removal, I'm grateful I have found Dr. Spoonemore. Total Pro in both her insights and knowledge, and in the execution of care, her staff and herself made me feel very secure in the biopsy done this visit. She is both very friendly and very professional.

Excellent bedside manor

I brought my 14 year old son to her for acne. She walked in the room and the first thing she said was "What have you done to your face." My son didn't even know what to say and was completely embarrassed. Then she said your freckles may be cute but it's just sun damage. He never wants to go back. His acne is now worse than ever so I am taking him to my dermatologist downtown.

Dr. Spoonemore took care of 2 cystic pimples of my face (cheek and nose). She gave a steroid (not sure what kind) shot into each pimple and they both were completely gone in 3 days. The one on my cheek was left with a bit of discoloring and a trophy but both side effects have healed 100% in less than one month. So impressed with this treatment, amazing option to heal pimples quickly.

Doctor Spoonmore is terrific - she is very, very thorough in conducting exams, always very professional yet not aloof, and does a wonderful and competent detecting and resolving any issues she may find on your skin. On a scale from 1 to 10 she is a 14,

Dr. Spoonemore removed a small mole/freckle that I was concerned about because the borders were changing,I was told it was not necessary for it to be removed by her and other physicians. However, she said she could remove it anyway. I expressed concern on the method of removal because my skin keloids. I wanted her to use the best method for me which would have been a shave biopsy which has worked for me in the past. She had an intern physician shadowing her. Dr. Spoonemore kept saying she was going to "scoop it." This worried me & she was rushing me, telling her intern that they were just going to "scoop it" & she acted very quickly. Now I have an ugly, raised deep purple scar that is 4 times larger than what was removed. I am a single woman & this had caused me much self consciousness to show my shoulder limiting clothing I can wear. Staff at her clinic were friendly but she never contacted me to revise the scar or help me as I requested. I have spent $600+ on injections/lazer.

I had a genuine scare when (with no family or personal history of skin cancer), I went to Dr Spoonemore with a melanoma "in-situ" (meaning a forming melanoma). She and her staff saw me and treated the condition removing any trace of the melanoma. She is a great doctor! Her staff seems really heads-up too.
